My last summer moment of this year, captured for eternity. While the Trojan horse of autumn chill arrived to invade my bones, this moment lasted forever. Frozen warmth caught in tiny pixels speaking of excitement, love and the smell of sunlight.

Lisbon’s beauty is out of reach but forever close in my head. My mind is a time and reality-bending miracle sitting on my neck. It’s capable of teleporting me wherever I want to in a blink. My thoughts are fast, flicker, duplicate, mix, melt and linger. I become an army of ghosts haunting different places at the same time. My presence is everywhere, embracing a world nobody but me can enter. Like stardust, I leave small particles of my existence on my fictive travels.

A piece of me is always in Lisbon. I feel the touch of the ancient tiles just out of reach for my physical fingertips. Their damage is whispering stories of people I haven’t met and incidents I didn’t witness through time and space. The part of me with eyes wide open inherits the power to make the dying world disappear until resurrection happens. Then, with a relieved breath, the first Galanthus will fight its way through a coffin of snow. The world will rejoice, and I’ll be hiding between my ribcage until this foreboding aligns with the moment where my body is located.

With reddish skin from the breeze, the inside world becomes irresistible. Summer is the fiery lover who left me, stealing my heart. Autumn, there is nothing left to conquer, so take your wooden horse. Let me light a match and burn it to warm up my limbs.

You try to impress this child of November with your oranges, let your nasty wind play with my hair and make my eyes tear from your cold wind. It’s a hopeless quest. Since I was born, I have longed to escape the cold claws of the naked trees who lost their leaves. Like the saint I never was, I stay faithful to summer. Oh, lover, when do you come back to me? Please bring a bottle of fine Porto, we have to celebrate!

We are all driven by hope, it keeps us going: The hope that tells us there is a place in this world for every crazy fruit, hope to discover the colour nobody has ever seen before, hope to steal a smile from somebody dear, hope to reach a better place and last but not least: A lot of hope that dreams can become more than just wishes born in the depths of the subconsciousness.

Thousands of new ways and junctions are ahead of us day after day. We are constantly facing decisions such as if we wanna go ahead bravely, make a u-turn and reconsider or just stop. Sometimes the mind and the heart don’t share the same opinion and we can only hope to consider well what both say.

I believe there is no such thing as THE one and only way to do things or to find happiness in life, but a big sea of possibilities bringing happiness, pain, and love. All of them together turn into your unique story. Every choice means the birth and death of possibilities on the complex map of life.

But we shall never give up hope, no matter life is perfect or a total mess at this moment: There is hope the journey from the here and now is going to be a very good one. So let’s be brave and face it!

If somebody had asked how my personal paradise looks, I would have answered like the factory from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but with more pink and candy instead of chocolate.

When I visited Lisbon this month, I discovered that the place I had in mind exists for real: The Sweet Art Museum is a place that encourages its visitors to say “Yes” to happiness. From the moment you spot the pink building, located in a row of grey industrial warehouses, you know: It’s time to enter a dreamlike parallel universe where everything is cute, pink and sweeter than any sweets. It’s time to rejoice for all your girly dreams coming true at once! Forget about dating a member of the Backstreet Boys (yes I know we all wanted that in the 90s), this is the real thing!

Have a bath in the sprinkle pool, get lost in ice cream land or have a ride on the lollipop merry-go-round. This place is Instagram dope and capable of making you feel like one giggling happy girl in heaven, even on a grumpy day. Paradise wouldn’t be perfect if you couldn’t eat sweets on the sly, so almost in every room, you end up with a mouth full of sugar.

If you wanna visit The Sweet Art Museum you should hurry, it’s only there until the end of August 2018. Shhhhh, there are plans the museum might come to London, Madrid or Brasil soon, but don’t tell anybody.

All my pictures are made with music, it’s inseparably woven into them and they are breathing music like I breathe the air around me. Music is the source of inspiration I probably never mentioned, next to costume design, pop art, science fiction, Japanese street style, vintage pictures and many more.

Unlike the others, music is not a visual form of expression and therefore might be less an obvious fashion inspiration resource, but I believe all sensual experiences are aspiring to express emotions in the end, no matter if acoustic, visual or olfactory.

Whenever I style looks and edit pictures, there is always music accompanying me, being my partner in crime and major influence. Very often I have that one specific song in mind when I work. This song completes the mood I am about to create and music is never just an unrelated background for me.

I couldn’t imagine a life without music at all, sometimes I cling to it like to an anchor, it enhances my feelings and there is always a song mirroring every feeling I am experiencing from utter crazy happiness to the deepest moments of sadness. Music is like a cloak surrounding me, sharing what I experience and comforting me when all colours disappear from my life for a moment of sadness.

Who is the cutest cartoon character in the universe? Hello Kitty, of course, cause her cute face is everywhere! Did you ever realize that your favourite cat doesn’t have a mouth? Since somebody told me I can’t forget about this.

But maybe Kitty doesn’t need a mouth: She can play the piano, she can be everything she wants to be, and she has her own theme park, train and even travelled to space on her own little satellite. There is nothing Kitty can’t achieve, she doesn’t need to talk but just to follow her heart! Maybe her makers wanted to tell us that it’s what we do and what we feel that matters, not what we say.

As a kid, I didn’t have any Hello Kitty stuff, despite Kitty being around since 1974. Maybe that is why I need to catch up now and surround myself with a big flock of cute white Kittys. Everything from pencil cases to rulers and bowls is just more fun with Kitty’s face on it! Thanks to Blippo I don’t have to go to Japan to fetch my cuties, but they come all to my doorstep.

So darlings, from now on I stay home on my days off, wearing my loungewear while I cuddle with Hello Kitty.

Do you know who and under what conditions the things you wear are made? This is exactly the question the Fashion Revolution asks with the hashtag #WhoMadeMyClothes. The global movement Fashion Revolution believes in a fashion industry that respects the environment and the people working in the industry just as much as creativity and asks for more transparency about production.

As a fashion blogger, there is nothing that I love more than fashion, but I wish to live in a world where people or our planet don’t have to suffer for this pleasure. I suspected a long time ago that fast fashion must come with a higher price than written on the tag and watching movies such as “The True Cost” completely opened my eyes.

I can’t get pictures such as the horrible scene of how in 2013 the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh collapsed out of my head. Nearly 1200 people died and 2500 got injured when this manufacturing building for clothing for big global brands crashed down like a house of cards. Workers reported cracking plaster days before the incident but they were sent back to their posts and the fact that the building was unsafe was ignored due to cost pressure. It’s five years since this happened and clearer than ever that there is an extreme need for change in the industry! A disaster like Rana Plaza should never ever happen again!

How can I keep going and loving what I wear knowing it might be made under very unsafe conditions, physical and verbal abuse and with far too less pay? This made me see fast fashion as what it was: Something that makes us all poor. I don’t promise I will never wear a fast fashion brand again, but I plead for all of us paying more attention, trying to buy less but better and make a choice for fair brands with our buys more often. Let’s make a statement and tell labels that we are not fine with paying any price for our clothes – and I don’t mean the price written on the tag but what lies behind production!

Now you might say that this is all true and like you feel too but that we can’t do something anyway. Yes, I agree it’s impossible for us to visit every factory and see with our own eyes if human rights are respected, but we can demand more transparency from the brands and shops where we leave our money. We can all ask them #WhoMadeMyClothes and keep asking with persistence till the brands listen to us. Because the Fashion Revolution is millions of people all over the world, in Switzerland, it’s me and hopefully you soon too!

If you watch my Instagram attentively, you might have noticed one thing: I get bored of things quite easily, don’t stick to habits, and my looks change from pink to yellow to blue and all the way back. Basic is a synonym for “don’t buy” in my ears and if a shopping assistant tells me I could also combine a piece with a simple denim trouser I smile politely but roll my inner eyes. I love stability and consistency when it comes to friendships and relationships, but never when it comes to fashion. I don’t want to stay the same but evolve and reinvent myself.

But there is one consistency as an exception: Even I stick to a few beloved pieces of jewellery, like the rings I got from my man and my two Les Georgettes bangles. I rarely leave the house without those bangles with their fine metalwork I must say. On the opposite: I feel naked when I am not wearing one of them at least.

Why? Because I love the bangles of the innovative French label and their ability to change with me. They all come with reversible coloured bands and the options are nearly endless. So no matter if I want them to match my outfit or be an eye catcher in a different colour, I have the ability to do so. Yay, this is jewellery that matches my spirit.

I just need more bands (and maybe one or two of their rings as well)…
