Watch out for alien girls, there might be more of them coming!

Look, my hair is already back to blonde. I wanted to see how long it takes till that happens and I am happy to know, that I can change from pastel pink to blonde in a week. I’ll definitely go back for pink again, but for this outfit blonde is just perfect.

I will have a little look into the future and this is what I predict: At least one of the comments for this outfit will be, that everything is beautiful expect the crazy lipstick. Lovelies, I am very grateful for all your warm compliments and as well open for criticism, but I won’t stop wearing weird lipstick colours. I am a crazy girl and I try to be bold, go to the borders and explore transformation. When I compare the looks when I started blogging with the latest few outfits, I see definitely a change. More colour and less fear. I feel like I am dancing on top of a wall, doing whatever fashion mischief I have in mind and trying to animate you to join me. Do you want to?

Today I thought it’s nice to be kind of a tropical alien. The outfit is a mix of vintage inspired items and recent fashion. The lot of green makes me think of something mysterious from outer space. In my imagination, it’s the colour of funny aliens, as seen in old science fiction movies. They don’t come to invade earth, instead they bring green jelly pudding for all of us. Yummy!

Strawberry, blueberry and raspberry flavour are available today.

I don’t just have ice cream, but as well a brand new candy bag.

My new love is so vibrant and pink.

Whipped cream and white accessoires can’t be missed too.

A little bit of glitter is never wrong as well, don’t you think?

And jelly shoes with globes, just like giant blueberries.

What is this spell, the colours purple, pink and red cast on me? Why do this colours make me so happy? This outfit unites them and has become one of my favourites as soon as I put it on for the first time. It seems to be a true energy outfit and wearing it makes me feel powerful.

The ice cream dress I spotted first on the blog of my one and only favourite blogger and lovely friend Fashion Hayley and wrote an excited comment. Unfortunately it wasn’t available on the page of the shop anymore, but fabulous Hayley found it for me in their outlet store and sent it all the way from Melbourne. Thank you so very much Hayley, you are not just the most inspiring person I’ve ever seen, but a very sweet girl too!

What was the first thing from this outfit you liked? Probably the bag? Yes, Lovely Sara has a Furla Candy Bag now. I tried to convince myself for a long time, I don’t need it, but the video with Japanese Blogger Misha Janette told me otherwise and when I had it in my little greedy fashion fingers, I couldn’t put it to the shelf anymore. The power of pink is always bigger than me.

The Vivienne Westwood for Melissa shoes are a gift from my boyfriend, he somehow managed to buy them just in front of my nose without me seeing it. What a lovely surprise! To continue with gifts I won this bangle from Swarovski, can’t believe what a lucky girl I am.  I am very grateful to have amazing people around me and that I have the chance to live in my Barbie-Jelly-Fashion-Glitter-World.

Are you related to the sphinx shown on my bodysuit?

Sorry but I needed a jacket, it’s not summer yet.

This necklace has an Egyptian touch too, even if there is not as much gold on it as King Tut had on his collar.

My metallic skirt shines brighter than any Pharaoh’s treasure.

Did you know he is called “Abu al-Hol” (father of terror) as well? I can’t see why, he doesn’t look creepy at all.

The Ancient Egyptians loved jewellery, so do I.

You can have  have a look at this outfit from every side: I love it.

King Tut would be impressed by this laser cut details of my skirt.

And of course frilled socks and high heels to make the legs pretty.

It’s said that the sphinx speaks in riddles. I don’t know. During all my visits to Egypt, she didn’t say a word, but always impressed me with her majestic appearance. I love to be in Gizeh, to walk around the pyramids and spend hours there. All the tourists who travel in groups have a tight time table and hurry from pyramid to museum to bus and so on, I love to linger in the presence of the sphinx. When I think of Egypt, I always feel the longing to go there again, it’s not just a travel destination for me, but I truly fell in love with this country it’s history and people. While I am far away, I am happy to have at least a  little bit of Egyptian inspiration in my outfit with my bodysuit from Bambam. Isn’t it gorgeous? I instantly felt happy, after putting it on for the first time, I listened to the song at the bottom of this post and just wanted to dance like an Egyptian.


If you say one thing about the Pharaohs, say that they love jewellery and shiny things. Because of this, I thought it appropriate to combine my bodysuit with a metallic skirt from Missguided. It’s so shiny, King Tut might be jealous if he could see it. It’s available in a few other colours as well and I have the mad plan to get them all.

Are you curious year after year, which colour is chosen by Pantone as the colour of the year? I always can’t wait to know and this year I especially love the chosen colour: 2012 was the year of Tangerine Tango, 2013 is the year of Emerald. Pantone says about Emerald: “Lively. Radiant. Lush… A colour of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.” I absolutely agree with this statement!

As you might have noticed, emerald appears again and again in my outfits. I have the feeling that it enhances not just my well-being, but the colour of my complexion as well. I never feel ugly, while wearing emerald. I didn’t know about the colour of the year, when I chose my New Year’s Eve outfit, now it makes me smile that I even called the post “Emerald Fireworks”. What a promising start of the year!

If you don’t wear emerald, I strongly recommend it to you. It’s an absolutely flattering colour and makes you dream about the Emerald City in the Land of Oz, where everything is built of emeralds, other jewels and green glass. I think this colour makes every girl pretty, no matter what skin or hair colour she has.

A cosy collar is a good weapon against the cold.

Trying to fill the world with flowers: Purple roses on the crown and preserved flowers in the buttons.

Brave little flowers, mocking the ice cold air.

What’s hidden beneath the coat: Lace, frills and crosses.

Gently flattered by fake fur sleeves. No animal was hurt and the game is still in the forest.

Snow, you can’t stop the mighty creepers!

Why do the naked trees always seem to be sad? Why can’t I stop missing the sound of the birds and the scent of the flowers? I am here, trying to bring a hint of purple and a couple of blossoms into this white winter world. For this mission, I made myself a big bold flower crown. It already had a few appearances on my head while I was in London. Many daring people asked me to try it on, even some male ones and complete strangers. I never got so many compliments for any other accessory before. If you have ever worn a crown like this, you will understand: Wearing it makes you feel different immediately. You become something between a saint and a queen. You can imagine being Virgin Mary, Frida Kahlo or Cicciolina, whoever inspires you most.

My new coat from Collectif enhances that feeling of elegance, my crown gives me. With its cosy fake fur collar I don’t even need a scarf. The buttons with the dried flowers inside, are somehow melancholic and romantic at the same time. They are like a little souvenir from past summer to me.

Before you ask if I don’t get frozen legs, I tell you a little secret: I do layer tights and wear up to three pairs of them on top of each other. Together with the socks, my legs are as comfortable as possible. But even dressed like this, I prefer to hurry inside as soon as possible. If I would be a product and come with a tag, on mine would be written “not for outdoor use” for sure. I always try to get excited about outdoor activities, but to be honest it’s more force than joy most of the time. I could sit forever on the sofa with a mug of hot tea, reading a gripping book on the other hand. Being outside is never the goal for me, but just a necessity on my way from A to B and for that I don’t need to dress up as a Yeti. I’ll be back in a cosy house before my flower crown is covered with snow anyway and I’m sure my brave little flowers appreciate this.

Ear Muffs are part of the outer space uniform.

Purple is the most favourite colour on my planet.

Peplum tops are very hip for space girls at the moment.

This is a necklace made from a rare stone found on my planet.

My bag is just big enough to contain my intergalactic passport and a lipstick.

On my jelly shoes, I travel around the galaxy and watch out for aliens.

When we did this shooting, the sun was finally back after many cold and rainy days. With the sun came a little part of summer-me back and I felt very hungry for colours. It was just the perfect day to wear my new galaxy peplum and go for a crazy look! I have to say a huge big thank you to Fashion Hayley: She showed this top on her blog and looked so marvellous in it, I just had to buy it too. When she had it on, she was called Kim Stardashian and I perfectly know why: The top makes a girl feel extremely curvy. The waist looks absolutely slim in it and hips and butt wide. At the beginning I was a bit sceptical about this shape, but my darling convinced me that there is no need for that. I would have kept it anyway, because I love the pattern and colours. It’s kind of a cosmic print, but unlike all the galaxy prints seen at the moment, more abstract and colour wise different. I combine it with a plain pencil skirt, to give all the attraction to the top.

I am wearing my grandma’s earmuffs as well. They make people not think of Kim, but of Princess Leia from Star Wars. Together with the galaxy print of the top an intergalactic combination, don’t you think? This earmuffs are actually one of the very few things I have from my grandma and I’m very proud on them. Unfortunately they are real fur, which I would never buy. Since they are most certainly more than 50 years old I make an exception. They make me feel like my beloved grandma is close to me.

I added glitter to my nails and to my eye makeup to complete the galaxy look. Together with my lilac Lime Crime lipstick (Airborne Unicorn) and teal coloured accessories (Necklace: Tenebris, Bag and Bangles: Becksöndergaard, Shoes: Melissa) I think this Princess Leia is ready to show up on the purple planet!

Lilac lipstick and my veiled beanie, two of my new favourites.

A little bit of leather (the material of the moment if you ask me) and my old but still loved Topshop jacket.

The veil gives the outfit a dramatic touch.

Purple and pink breaks the gothic mood.

A few days ago, my boyfriend and I went to a little village in the mountains called Vals. There is an amazing spa, it’s often called “The Modernist Spa” and that’s exactly how it looks. I can strongly recommend it to everyone who needs a little break from everyday’s life! The rest of the village is no modernist place at all, but more a very romantic alpine place with a breathtaking landscape and amazing restaurants. It seemed to be the perfect place to show you my first beanie-post. For a long time I didn’t wear beanies, because the hair is always so messy after taking them off, but it was just a matter of time, until I gave in and started to like them. My obsession for headwear is just unstoppable and a beanie keeps the head warm in a wonderful way!

Usually beanies have a sporty look and let’s face it: That’s just not me. There is no sportive activity I really enjoy and I can’t even remember when I was at the gym for the last time. So it wouldn’t fit to dress sporty for a coach potato like me. But Stephen Jones had the answer for that problem: He proved that beanies can be elegant, when he designed a veiled beanie for Jil Sander’s Spring Collection 2012.

My beanie is a self made version, inspired by Stephen Jones’ design. I bought a plain simple beanie and decorated it with a veil. Some might say it looks like I’m ready to go to a funeral, but my style always had very slightly gothic roots and I love to keep that hint of darkness. While I’m always very colourful and girly dressed in summer, winter is year after year the season to return to a more dramatic and dark look.

But as sure as light and shadows belong together, every dark outfit needs a colourful highlight such as my lilac lips: First I just bought the lipstick because of it’s name (It’s called “Airborne Unicorn” and there is no escape for me of buying something with the word “unicorn” in it.). Now I seriously think lilac is an underestimated lipstick colour, if not the new red!
