For its 75th birthday, the traditional Spanish label Freixenet is going fashion and asked German designer Michael Michalsky to create a special edition for their bottle. The designer inspired himself in Spain, visited the Freixenet winery and the local production of the sparkling wine. Freixenet and Michalsky share their high-quality standards and tradition, as well as a unique design and style.

The result of the joint venture is an elegant and classy bottle for the fizzy wine drink. The dots on the bottle remind of studs, an essential element of Michalsky’s signature style. They appear on the metallic bag as well and make it an eye catcher. I fell in love with this bag as soon as I opened the box and the greedy part of myself wishes to keep it. The guys at Taipei-based label JumpFromPaper got into 90s movies and came up with a fantastic throwback. Not just tennis court beauties and baseball heroines will love this collection!

The lookbook – shot by young London photographer Charlotte Rutherford – captures perfectly well the sporty vibe of a cool high school girl gang.

Do you already have that feeling that spring is close as well? It’s like a tickling in my fingers, this feeling of new things coming and the birth of change. Spring is the perfect time to get rid of unwanted things and habits! Time to sort out old things and feel as light as a bird in the sky afterwards.

My life seems to change fast at the moment. I don’t know where it leads me, but I know there are exciting things to come. The approaching spring is just the boost of energy needed to face the future and open the next page of the book called “Lovely Sara’s Adventures”.

After a proper spring-clean, it’s definitely time to treat yourself with a reward! What better reward is there than something thrilling in your wardrobe? The days of moody winter are numbered, time to colour yourself, colour the world!

The Heart of the Flamingo

2D meets 3D world. What is real here? -Everything!

The heart of the flamingos on my breast beats for the pink handbag.

I can’t get my hands of it too.

Loving the psychodelic print of this dress and playing with my pastel hair.

“Comic Lovely Sara” is what I feel like with this bag.

Orchards, lilies and my favourite resin bangle are a winning team.

The playfulness of the handbag is inspiring me.

Imagine this stone came from a planet far, far away, where the whole surface is blue and shiny.

Sweet, sweet confusion! Today I am tricking your eyes with a psychodelic all over print and a handbag that is almost too good to be true. This outfit is a declaration of love to Asian fashion: The dress comes from Thailand/London based label Lalalove (Yes, I couldn’t resist to buy it after I told you about it) and the bag from Taiwanese label JumpFromPaper. I love the creativity and playful quirkiness Asian designers often display in their work. If I find a new label from this part of the world that satisfies my urge to be a walking rainbow, I always get very excited and feel like a little fashion explorer.

JumpFromPaper wasn’t actually found by me, but rather I was found by them. When they contacted me, I couldn’t believe I didn’t hear about them before, because my style is literally made to fit these bags. I already wrote a post about the label here if you are interested to learn more about them.

When my very own JumpFromPaper bag arrived, I instantly felt that we were gonna be very close friends. The quality of the bag is excellent and it’s super flat. There is a zipper at the bottom of the bag and when it’s open the bag gets a lot more roomy. Enough space for the things I carry around in my everyday routine is provided.

The bag gets a lot of looks and compliments. Isn’t it a wonderful achievement for a bag to make people smile? This makes my flamingo heart beat faster for sure.

This is a selection of the items I like best in the online shops at the moment. A lot of prints, pastels and cute details included to spread fun.

I will ignore the darker autumn colours that are sneaking into the shops as long as possible. Down jackets? Nobody needs them, as long as there are light girly things spreading fun instead.

I definitely need the flower print top with the cute metallic bows and the Melissa heels. I think the lightning bolt bag is a winner too. I have a lot of fancy bags, but just a few bags for everyday use. This one could be the solution. I really have to restrain myself, not to order everything and I just hold back because I want to leave some pretty things for you.

Lovely Label: JumpFromPaper

Are you confused? Your eyes are not fooled, this bags are real and they look exactly like on the pictures. I have seen them with my very own eyes. 2D is the new and better 3D and the Taiwanese label JumpFromPaper makes what is so hard to believe come true: They create hand bags you’ll need to take a second glance to realize they are not just a cartoon day dream.

Chay Su and Rika Lin are the creative masterminds behind JumpFromPaper. The two crazy girls both studied communication design and had the fabulous idea to turn 2D illustrations into bags. Their designs looks literally like they jumped to life from a quirky comic book and unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.

The philosophy of JumpFromPaper is, that life does not need to be that serious. People are born to enjoy. Indeed, this colourful bags spread a lot of fun and turn you instantly into a comic character. Probably the greatest thing is to take a picture of you with a JumpFromPaper bag: Every shot looks like photoshoped and causes a sweet irritation, which leads to unstoppable fascination.

Big happiness: I am going to spend a few days in lovely London very soon. My favourite city will have me again. I can’t wait to visit all the exhibitions I have in mind, meet my dear friends and of course go shopping excessively. For you, a brand new London Wish List post is here, revealing what I might bring home from my trip. I searched all the pages of my most frequented London shops to make a pre-selection of cool items I’m gonna watch out for. On my last trip, the list was a big help and I actually bought a few great things according to it. Your comments and opinions have been a wonderful help as well to make my choice.

All the items catching my eye this time are either sweet as candy or a little bit dark and comical. It was not the intention to create two looks, it just seems my taste is torn between this two moods at the moment.

Don’t be sad if you have to stay at home and can’t raid all the beautiful shops with me! If you fall in love with something from my list: All the items are available for online shopping too. Please just don’t buy everything before I arrive in London.

Two Pineapples: Which one is more juicy?

After my post about the melon, here follows another fruit: The pineapple. This sweet and juicy fruit stands for self-confidence, hospitality and exotic. Christopher Columbus discovered it during an excursion to south africa and since then it has been very popular. Specially because you can make delicious cocktails and desserts with it.

As you might now, I’m a huge fan of funny shaped bags and my latest discovery is this very eye-catching pineapple bag from Asos. It has exactly the same size as a real pineapple and I think it’s a very lovely interpretation of the fruit. I love how the woven straps form the body of the fruit. It’s quiet spacious inside and I manage to carry around more than just phone and lipstick in it. The pineapple bag has a flip top opening with a press-stud fastening and a body strap with adjustable length. It’s a very funny feeling to sit in the train and open the pineapple to pick out the ticket.

I combine my pineapple bag with tropical print trousers and a simple coralline shirt. The colorful fruit nails make the outfit complete.

This pineapple is the perfect bag for a bright summer outfit. I’ll take it out for having a few cocktails (maybe even a Pina Colada). The pineapple will be the star of this summer for sure!
