My perfectionism is out of this world! Finally, I can show you this rainbow space look, something I planned since Christmas. The odds have been against me: My hairdresser was booked out; I couldn’t find the location I had in mind and last but not least spent hours selecting and editing pictures, changing my mind over and over again. I refuse to release a post unless I am sincerely satisfied with it and believe in quality over quantity.

This look pushed my boundaries of perfectionism so much because it contains several pieces especially dear to me. The diamond bag from Maude Studio I was lusting for months before I had it in my hands, the Charlotte Simone Scarf that was a Christmas gift from my darling. Last but not least The Whitepepper skirt with a print by my illustrator crush Hattie Stewart.

Friends who are not blogging very often say they want to start a blog too when they see the exciting things arriving on my doorstep. Often they forget, that no label gives you anything just for free, but there is a lot of work involved.

Don’t get me wrong: I am very grateful for being on this path, and I am living my fashion dreams. Perfectionism may be in the way sometimes, but it’s as well a powerful impulse to live up to my expectations and to what I owe the amazing designers out there. It’s my thank you to them for the amazing things they create.

I hope you like this look, and it brightens up your day. Keep watching out for rainbow worms!

Game over, done and finished. This is how I felt at the end of the year. 2015, you have been exhausting, and drained me of the last bit of energy I had left. All I wanted to do with my time off this week was sleeping, listening to Kate Bush, eating crisps and watching Star Trek.

I didn’t plan to abandon the blog and take a break, but I suddenly felt that this is what I need. Readers might believe that I always have a happy life because of my colourful pictures, but don’t get me wrong: Just because I don’t dress in black and boring, doesn’t mean there is no stress in my life.

Nonetheless of the sudden break, we shot a few outfit posts. My photographer had a couple of days off and the weather was good, it would have been an unforgivable neglect. I only couldn’t force myself to edit the pictures. I started several times, but my concentration was very poor. I walked away from my computer every few minutes and ended up tidying my wardrobe, baking bread or chatting on the phone.

I love all the looks we shot, but I just didn’t feel like seeing my face on the screen. Many people think that bloggers must be narcissistic, the truth is that I don’t like to see myself on pictures at all. It’s all about the looks I want to show you. Sometimes I nearly despair on the model (myself) not being able to fulfill the high standards I’d like to have while being the only choice of a model I have. My grin looks ridiculous on 99 of 100 pictures, and longer legs couldn’t hurt (Ok, my legs look damn long in these images, I seriously don’t know what magic my photographer did, but let’s face it: I’m just far, far away from being Cara Delevigne). But because I can’t change it and fashion runs through my veins like blood, I will go on and on. I promise. A few days of rest did well; you see: I left my bedsheets for you, and I promise, I’ll surprise you this year and go even more colourful and crazy.

I hope your 2016 started very well lovelies, let’s walk towards new fashion adventures!

cute handbags, fluffy bags, bags with eyes
Furry Backback  –  Cat Pouch
Shark Bag  – Yellow Keychain  – Rainbow Coloured Keychain  – Owl Backpack
Monster Choupette Bag  –  Flying Pig Handbag

Are you lonely sometimes or just in the need for more cuteness in your life? Then these bags and keychains are waiting for you to keep you company! One is cuter than the next; my dream is to have all of them and start a little zoo of pretty creatures.

Life is too short for boring bags! Carry around some joy and never grow up entirely! Your inner Peter Pan will agree and have a lot of fun, carrying a furry creature or a hungry shark with you and have that perfect “what-else” expression on your face.

I think cute bags hold kind of a precious super power: They can make even the grimmest people smile. Just observe the reaction of people on the street when somebody with a flying pig on his shoulder crosses and you will agree.

Which one of those bags is your favourite?

moschino, mcdonalds, choupette
McDonalds Love: This is where good style meets bad taste.
Choupette, Moschino, Mcdonalds
Fast fashion for me and a milkshake for Choupette, please!
Moschino, bag, mcdonalds
This outfit was just missing a Big Mac, so I ordered one.
yru, bae, pink platform shoes
Best advice to continue to look slim while eating fast food: Wear the highest shoes you find.
moschino, streetstyle, karl lagerfeld
Yummy, Yummy: What a bright look!
Moschino, bag, mcdonalds
Over 20 Billion Served: So it was time I got one too…
Choupette, pink hair, moschino
Pink Hair Don’t Care: And it even goes with red and yellow, you see?
yru bae, moschino, karl Lagergeld
Dinner is Served: The cats are starving.
coupette signature, lagerfeld, lagerfelds cat
I Am Such a Groupie: Wearing Choupette’s signature on my back.
coupette tee, Karl Lagerfeld, famous cat
Monster Cat: Karl thinks she can be nasty, I think she is just cute as a button.

Moschino and Karl Lagerfeld in one look, impressive isn’t it? Sometimes even the lovers of independent designers – such as me – fall for the major labels… Carl wants to marry his cute cat Choupette, so how do you think I could resist having her on a tee at least? The tee was a gift from my darling, he said that it just belongs to me. I wanted to show it to you since I got it, but it was so cold during the last weeks. Finally I was brave enough to step outside with it.
The Moschino bag was a gift from me to myself, I just couldn’t go on without this fashion milestone from Jeremy Scott in my life. I am a humble girl and I still feel bad if I spent a lot of money on fancy things and I certainly don’t need expensive things for my ego. I feel so astonished that this bag is mine and expect it to vanish again every moment like an air built castle. But whenever I open my eyes again, it’s still there. Thank you life, I love you, you are so good to me!
I never go to McDonalds to be honest. Isn’t it sweet irony that a fast food inspired bag won over my heart in a storm? McDonalds is an icon of pop culture for me. The red and yellow signs from the fast food chain (which have been replaced by green ones) remind me of the nineties, when fast food was so cool over here and we’ve been excited to spend our birthdays in the place with the big yellow “M”.
It felt like the huge world has finally come over to our sleepy town, when the first Mc opened. I’ve always been a little bit afraid of Ronald McDonald and I bet you agree: Choupette is far, far cuter than him and wins every game. Maybe she would try a burger, if I don’t…
What do you think about this look lovelies?

Imagine this stone came from a planet far, far away, where the whole surface is blue and shiny.

Sweet, sweet confusion! Today I am tricking your eyes with a psychodelic all over print and a handbag that is almost too good to be true. This outfit is a declaration of love to Asian fashion: The dress comes from Thailand/London based label Lalalove (Yes, I couldn’t resist to buy it after I told you about it) and the bag from Taiwanese label JumpFromPaper. I love the creativity and playful quirkiness Asian designers often display in their work. If I find a new label from this part of the world that satisfies my urge to be a walking rainbow, I always get very excited and feel like a little fashion explorer.

JumpFromPaper wasn’t actually found by me, but rather I was found by them. When they contacted me, I couldn’t believe I didn’t hear about them before, because my style is literally made to fit these bags. I already wrote a post about the label here if you are interested to learn more about them.
When my very own JumpFromPaper bag arrived, I instantly felt that we were gonna be very close friends. The quality of the bag is excellent and it’s super flat. There is a zipper at the bottom of the bag and when it’s open the bag gets a lot more roomy. Enough space for the things I carry around in my everyday routine is provided.
The bag gets a lot of looks and compliments. Isn’t it a wonderful achievement for a bag to make people smile? This makes my flamingo heart beat faster for sure.
What do you think about this outfit and are you amazed by Asian labels too?

Thanks to JumpFromPaper for the beautiful bag.

Are you confused? Your eyes are not fooled, this bags are real and they look exactly like on the pictures. I have seen them with my very own eyes. 2D is the new and better 3D and the Taiwanese label JumpFromPaper makes what is so hard to believe come true: They create hand bags you’ll need to take a second glance to realize they are not just a cartoon day dream.
Chay Su and Rika Lin are the creative masterminds behind JumpFromPaper. The two crazy girls both studied communication design and had the fabulous idea to turn 2D illustrations into bags. Their designs looks literally like they jumped to life from a quirky comic book and unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.
The philosophy of JumpFromPaper is, that life does not need to be that serious. People are born to enjoy. Indeed, this colourful bags spread a lot of fun and turn you instantly into a comic character. Probably the greatest thing is to take a picture of you with a JumpFromPaper bag: Every shot looks like photoshoped and causes a sweet irritation, which leads to unstoppable fascination.
Katy Perry was already spotted with a playful JumpFromPaper handbag, Lovely Sara will follow soon. Do you wanna join the pop art 2D gang?

Completing today’s look with a childhood dream of plastic glitter Juju shoes.

Did you know that flamingos are pink, because of a certain substance in their food? Imagine: I was at the zoo, sneaked into the enclosure of the flamingos and stole a little bit of their food secretly. Mistrustful, I smelled at it, wrinkled my nose first, but overcame my doubts bravely and ate it all. It was my secret dream to be a flamingo and to have beautiful pink feathers, so I had to try. Impatiently I waited and waited and finally something happened. At first, just a few of my hair started to glow in a bright, beautiful pastel pink, then more and more followed and suddenly what I was hoping for had come true: Finally I was a flamingo and all my hair was pretty pastel pink.

Of course, this is not what really happened, but isn’t it more exciting than just telling you I went to the hairdresser again? The new colour makes me feel like a Lovely Sara doll, especially with my false lashes. I love how the hair enhances the girly look of my outfit. Little girls love glitter, cute stickers, jelly shoes, plush and frills. I have them all in my outfit and seriously: I think this outfit wouldn’t have looked this good on me when I was still sweet fifteen.

My lovelies, I am very, very curious to hear what you think about this outfit and especially about my new hair colour.

But dance into the night with my first flock shoes from Melissa.

Boom! Here I am with a new outfit post. I am so, so, so addicted to Lazy Oaf. For a long time I wanted this dress, but restrained myself. I am a shopping addict without doubt, but even I have limits and there are already many pieces from this shop in my wardrobe. But when I saw the dress on sale, all the good intentions were gone instantly. What shall I say? I love it and it’s really causing big badaboom explosions of fashion happiness.

Jewellery from delicious Australian label Eat.Me.Do completes the look. Gummi bear and squid, nice menu, isn’t it? Do you say “Yuk”? Exactly, this is what is written on my back. I discovered this patch on Instagram and couldn’t get the word Yuk out of my head anymore. I sewed it onto a vintage denim jacket, which was a little bit boring on it’s own. The patch turned it into a cool piece again. I might add other patches in the future.

Have you ever seen the movie Cloud Atlas? You really should, it’s a brilliant movie and unlike anything else I’ve ever seen on the screen. Why is she talking about movies now you might ask. Simple, because of a very special scene in this movie: There is a restaurant in a futuristic city called Neo Seoul. All the waitresses are Asian girls with a bob haircut and the same outfit. They wear the Melissa Patchuli shoes, just like I do in this post. I think I made funny noises of excitement in the cinema, when I saw all this girls with this wonderful shoes. It was the first time ever I spotted Melissa shoes in the cinema and this shoe is connected to the movie forever now. I wish they had Lazy Oaf dresses too…

What do you think, does this outfit make boom?

joanna pybus, eye, fashion, 60s

This is the return of the eyeballs! After her breathtaking A/W 12 collection, London based designer Joanna Pybus had to fulfill high expectations with her next collection. She did more than to succeed and designed a spring/summer 2013 collection, just as quirky and fabulous as one might have wished for. Flattering skirts and cheeky shorts are at their best in Joanna’s stripes and eye prints. The beautiful pastel colours make the collection as sweet as candy and as explosive as a firework on a warm summer evening.

Joanna Pybus’ fashion has a strong graphic approach and the patterns of her fabric are very distinctive. All her clothes are striking, yet easy to wear. The sixties are obviously a strong influence in Joanna Pybus’ work and walk hand in hand with a generous touch of pop art. The simple, 60s inspired shapes are the perfect canvas to show off the bold prints. No piece of Joanna Pybus comes without a lot of humour: The eyes seem to twinkle and tell you that life is far more fun if you don’t take everything too serious.

I think Twiggy and Andy Warhol would have loved this fashion, so do I.

10 Things About Lovely Sara

1. Somebody once offered me money to see me without makeup. I didn’t accept and am still waiting for a better offer. 😉

2. I often have nightmares about giant spiders hiding under my bed.

3. When I lived in London, I had the same hair dresser as Agyness Deyn.

4. I only have one pair of jeans in my wardrobe. It’s a pair of Levi’s Curve ID trousers, the only one I found to perfectly suit my curvy body shape.

5. My favourite milliner and my current hairdresser are as well two of my very best friends.

6. I love Fruit Loops, no matter if for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

7. I rarely call people. Somehow I suddenly feel very shy if I have to dial a number and write instead, whenever there is the possibility.

8. The perfumes I love most are Alien by Thierry Mugler and The Rouge by Bvlgari.

9. I’ve seen the movie “Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King”seven times at the cinema because I was so enchanted by it.

10.  Something you might have guessed: I collect Melissa shoes. At the moment I have 15 pairs. I hope my collection will grow a lot of and I want my whole flat to smell of their bubblegum scent.
