I love Friday Favourites posts on other blogs and always wanted to do something like this for you as well. What kept me back was the fear that I could not manage to publish a post like this on a regular basis every Friday. But today I’m finally brave enough to try. I can’t promise a post like this once a week, but maybe every second or third Friday if you like it.

Today I show you what I discovered while browsing the shops, in the future I might include pictures from blogs I love. I am still so lost in a sea of pink and cuteness. I can’t imagine arising and leaving candy floss land. There is just no end to desiring more bows, more tassels and more hearts in my flamingo crazy heart. I just wish I could turn the sky pink for a day.

I hope your Friday is lovely, I’m enjoying a happy bank holiday, yay! 😀
Sending you lots of love.

One foot in the air, one on the ground: Flamingo, I try to be like you!

Hello flamingos, jungle queens and fruit girls! Time to take your dresses out and embrace spring, wearing your prettiest, tropical looks! I can’t tell you how excited I feel to finally leave the house without a thick scarf. After all the heavy coats, it feels like a great liberation. Goodbye fake fur coats, we will see us again early enough, you kept me warm well, but now it’s time to part! Spring fashion is here and its ‘s exciting, playful and cheeky!

Today’s look features a pink flamingo dress, so there was no way to avoid having it. I couldn’t resist to catch the first sun rays, even if I was in bed with a cold less than a week ago and I’m still not done with coughing. Even a rather sensible girl like me gets reckless, when it comes to showing off flamingo love. Some people started to refer to me as the flamingo queen. This makes me infinitely happy and is exactly what I dream to be in my wildest dreams.

Last summer I fell head over heel for tropical prints and fruits in fashion and it looks like this year this crush is back with equally strong emotions. I don’t want to repeat myself, but I am just not over those things yet. So be prepared for even more prints, more sandals, frilled socks and crop tops. Let the beach party begin!

How do you like this tropical look lovelies?

Do you already have that feeling that spring is close as well? It’s like a tickling in my fingers, this feeling of new things coming and the birth of change. Spring is the perfect time to get rid of unwanted things and habits! Time to sort out old things and feel as light as a bird in the sky afterwards.

My life seems to change fast at the moment. I don’t know where it leads me, but I know there are exciting things to come. The approaching spring is just the boost of energy needed to face the future and open the next page of the book called “Lovely Sara’s Adventures”.

After a proper spring-clean, it’s definitely time to treat yourself with a reward! What better reward is there than something thrilling in your wardrobe? The days of moody winter are numbered, time to colour yourself, colour the world!

What from my list do you like best and would you love to see in my future outfit posts?

Today I am celebrating anniversary day with my love.
pink fascinator, feather hat, long vintage dress
For this event I wanted to look like a story book princess.
This ring was his lovely gift to me today. It’s the first ring he gave me.
I love the colour of the aqua chalcedony stone. This stone is said to banish fear and stimulate creativity.
The fascinator was made especially to fit my dress. I am even more pleased with it than I expected to be.
Tender flowers, feathers and just a little bit of netting.
I hope my love will be proud to go out with me today…
You can even see my darling a little in the reflection of my shoes 😉

I hope you are not tired of all the glamourous party looks right after Christmas and New Year. You didn’t see me wearing a festive outfit, because I spent my New Year’s eve rather casual with a few lovely friends and a lot of fun. My big event was a few days later:

The anniversary day with my darling. We spent the eve at a beautiful place with a view over the whole city and a delicious five course dinner. It was already our forth anniversary day and I am still so very happy. Three and a half years ago I left London – the city of my heart – for my love. It was a very hard decision back then and I still miss London. But I don’t regret it at all and can’t imagine living without my darling anymore.

For our anniversary day I wanted to look especially lovely and chose a pastel pink princess look. During our last holidays in Barcelona I found this dress in a vintage store. Since then it waited in my wardrobe for a special occasion. Ingenious milliner Carolina from Jazzafine made the fascinator to fit my pastel pink dream dress. It was the first time I had a fascinator custom-made to fit a dress, I am sure you can imagine the tension when I opened the parcel. I think it looks better than I could have imagined and just fit for a perfect day.

How do you like this dreamy outfit and have you ever had something custom-made?

“A summer outfit?” you might ask. Yes indeed! I was in Barcelona for a few days and there it was warm enough for a look like this. We shot this pictures back at home, because there was no time for a shooting, but I just couldn’t resist to show you this look.

My flamingo addiction has no end and in this outfit I show you not just one, but two new flamingo accessories. I wanted to go for a rather sweet and 50s inspired look and wear a romantic flower print dress and a lot of candy floss pink.

While we shot this outfit, a few little girls were watching. I heard them say that “This woman looks like a princess”, which made me smile and happened to become the title of the post.

I had to be very patient until I could show you this outfit for a very special reason: I had my ears pierced only for the flamingo earrings and wasn’t allowed to put them on for a time that felt like eternity. But the look was just not complete without the earrings. Because I still have problems with one piercing I only wear one earring, but hopefully this will be over soon.

The other highlight of the outfit is the bag. It’s actually made from a garden decoration flamingo. I haven’t seen something like this before, just stumbled over it while giving in to my flamingo addiction and looking for flamingo things on the net for a whole eve. Believe me, browsing for flamingos causes an instant outburst of happiness, if you don’t believe me, have a try!

Please tell me you love this look as much as I do!

Let me introduce a brand new label from London: Dazzle & Jolt. This year the exciting brand launched it’s first collection called “Geometric Jungle”. Happy jungle prints in all the colours of the rainbow makes the collection perfect to brighten up your outfits.

Fruits, flowers and exotic animals such as toucans, parrots and tigers have their big appearance on Dazzle & Jolt’s tees. Every piece is a bold statement of fun and joy. You can wear them as the splash of colour to an otherwise plain outfit or let them be part of a rainbow look form head to toe.

Dazzle & Jolt was founded by the two friends Jessica Holt and Zara Saleem. Their mission is to colour the world. All their prints are limited edition, so get your hands on their tees, crop tees and sweaters as long as you can. The tees are made from 100% organic cotton and printed in the UK.

I love the graphic quality of the illustrated prints and can’t decide for a favourite. It seems like Dazzle & Jolt just has all the things I love most on their tees (maybe expect cats and melons), so I am torn between pineapple, flamingo and parrot. Why not just get them all and make the streets of the city less monochrome?

Visit Dazzle & Jolt here or join their Facebook page.

Imagine this stone came from a planet far, far away, where the whole surface is blue and shiny.

Sweet, sweet confusion! Today I am tricking your eyes with a psychodelic all over print and a handbag that is almost too good to be true. This outfit is a declaration of love to Asian fashion: The dress comes from Thailand/London based label Lalalove (Yes, I couldn’t resist to buy it after I told you about it) and the bag from Taiwanese label JumpFromPaper. I love the creativity and playful quirkiness Asian designers often display in their work. If I find a new label from this part of the world that satisfies my urge to be a walking rainbow, I always get very excited and feel like a little fashion explorer.

JumpFromPaper wasn’t actually found by me, but rather I was found by them. When they contacted me, I couldn’t believe I didn’t hear about them before, because my style is literally made to fit these bags. I already wrote a post about the label here if you are interested to learn more about them.
When my very own JumpFromPaper bag arrived, I instantly felt that we were gonna be very close friends. The quality of the bag is excellent and it’s super flat. There is a zipper at the bottom of the bag and when it’s open the bag gets a lot more roomy. Enough space for the things I carry around in my everyday routine is provided.
The bag gets a lot of looks and compliments. Isn’t it a wonderful achievement for a bag to make people smile? This makes my flamingo heart beat faster for sure.
What do you think about this outfit and are you amazed by Asian labels too?

The crazier prints are, the more I love them. This is where Lalalove London comes in: The London and Bangkok based label is print heaven! Quirky screen printed shirts and eccentric dresses with romantic ruffles will win over your heart. Their recent collection is full of tropical elements, candy and animals, all mixed up to a psychodelic cocktail. All in all, it seems that this collection is like a rejoicing overdose of all the good things together.

Linda Charoenlab, the designer behind the label, was born and raised in Bangkok, were she worked as a stylist. After relocating to London and further studies there, she founded Lalalove in 2009. Lalalove stands for kitsch at his best, their much revered prints and as well for eco-friendly production. It is fashion far from normality and boredom, ready to be worn by bold people.

My true favourite from the collection is the flamingo bodycon dress. The print of this dress spotting two flamingos forming a heart with their heads inside of a psychodelic wonderland full of orchids and lilies is beyond perfection. I am so obsessed with flamingos and love to think if my soul would be an animal, it would be a pink flamingo. You see why I need this dress so badly in my life.

While I am dreaming of pink animals, Lalalove is ready for their next masterstroke: Their A/W 13 collection will hit the shops soon and it’s called “The Final Attack”.  See a little preview below and get ready!

Visit Lalalove London on Facebook. If you are in London, you can shop their fashion at Topshop Oxford Circus, in Switzerland go to Famous Ape in Geneva.

This is a selection of the items I like best in the online shops at the moment. A lot of prints, pastels and cute details included to spread fun.
I will ignore the darker autumn colours that are sneaking into the shops as long as possible. Down jackets? Nobody needs them, as long as there are light girly things spreading fun instead.
I definitely need the flower print top with the cute metallic bows and the Melissa heels. I think the lightning bolt bag is a winner too. I have a lot of fancy bags, but just a few bags for everyday use. This one could be the solution. I really have to restrain myself, not to order everything and I just hold back because I want to leave some pretty things for you.
What do you think, which of this items can’t be missing in the perfect wardrobe?

Completing today’s look with a childhood dream of plastic glitter Juju shoes.

Did you know that flamingos are pink, because of a certain substance in their food? Imagine: I was at the zoo, sneaked into the enclosure of the flamingos and stole a little bit of their food secretly. Mistrustful, I smelled at it, wrinkled my nose first, but overcame my doubts bravely and ate it all. It was my secret dream to be a flamingo and to have beautiful pink feathers, so I had to try. Impatiently I waited and waited and finally something happened. At first, just a few of my hair started to glow in a bright, beautiful pastel pink, then more and more followed and suddenly what I was hoping for had come true: Finally I was a flamingo and all my hair was pretty pastel pink.

Of course, this is not what really happened, but isn’t it more exciting than just telling you I went to the hairdresser again? The new colour makes me feel like a Lovely Sara doll, especially with my false lashes. I love how the hair enhances the girly look of my outfit. Little girls love glitter, cute stickers, jelly shoes, plush and frills. I have them all in my outfit and seriously: I think this outfit wouldn’t have looked this good on me when I was still sweet fifteen.

My lovelies, I am very, very curious to hear what you think about this outfit and especially about my new hair colour.
