Yesyesyes! Finally, I am back doing what I like best: Styling looks and thinking about accessories, makeup, and locations! Today it’s all about red and pink, the most controversial colour combo on the planet and my absolute favourite.

When I planed my blog schedule for December, I was very excited about all the giveaways, because I wanted to give you something back as a thank you for all your support, comments and love. My blog was very busy during the festive season, but it left me with no time for outfits, and I missed it like hell. Ok, it spared me from freezing in the cold while taking pictures, but not even being in Antarctica could stop me any longer.

I am roaring like a tiger, as hungry for fashion as ever! Always eager to show you all the treasures I gathered and share my latest discoveries. That much I can say already: Good things are coming.

While you read this, williwaw Sara is already editing another look, smiling at the screen with happiness. I just belong here, and it’s lovely you found your way into my colourful world as well 🙂 Have a happy New Year and let’s colour 2018 together!

Two months since my revelation about starting sports. You might still be surprised by my change, and if not I am for sure.

But hey: I discovered an unknown discipline and rarely miss to go to my training twice a week. When I can’t go for a really good reason (bad weather, telly shows, and my cat must have stolen my gym shoes doesn’t count), I try to go running instead. Running is something you can do all the time, no matter where you are, even when you travel.

To be honest, I think it’s an entirely dull activity, so I have to trick myself into liking it better with wearing a lot of pink and listening to a cool soundtrack. When I run, I always have to think of Simon Pegg in Run Fatboy Run. The British actor plays a guy who left his bride at the altar only to realize – when she has another boyfriend – that he wants her back. He tries to prove that with running a marathon even if he is not sporty at all. Just like me, but I’ll not give up, fight my lazy nature and run away from my weaker self.

This movie character encourages me not to give up, to just place one foot in front of the other and go on, even if it’s just a few steps further than last time.

Future me must be very proud of me.

Don’t worry: Ok maybe not all but just the temperature is going down. It’s that time again where girls are tempted to let their beautiful dresses in the wardrobe. It’s getting chilly, and your arms and legs start to feel like frozen icicles, brrrrrrrr!

I say it’s a shame for the dresses to sleep like Cinderella and wait for Prince Summer. I have a better idea: Ignore the weather as long as possible. And if nothing else helps let’s layer, let’s combine and create hot looks no matter the weather!

Today’s outfit is a dress and sheer top combo. I own the top at least for ten years, it’s not spectacular on its own but offers nearly endless options to combine it. And this is why it’s a real survivor of all wardrobe clear-outs.  Ok I admit, it’s not a very warm outfit, but this is how I dress for events, of course with a long coat to keep me warm on my way there.

The actual star of this look is, of course, the Origami Knot Dress by Australian designer Leah Williams. Gosh, how I love this dress! How the bands move when I walk and how you can tie them in different ways… A dream! You might see me teaming it up with a turtleneck and thick tights for a more winterproof combo.

What is your strategy to survive colder days without looking boring?

Patterns, patterns, patterns! It might be simpler to wear plain fabrics solely, but incredibly sad to miss the beauty of geometry, the diversity, creativity, and playfulness brought into your life by patterns.

Let’s be bold, let’s mix and match, let’s bring together what might not seem to fit at first sight. And last but not least: Let’s never be satisfied with the easy choice if there lies a pattern challenge ahead! Go pattern crazy!

In August, I and my darling visited Lisbon. This journey gave me an extra boost of strong pattern love. It’s amazing how pretty the city is with all its cute, colourful houses and painted tiles. I believe living in a town like this must influence the mind in a very positive way and is indeed a different inspiration than being surrounded by a grey environment.

These pictures could have been taken in Lisbon, and you might be surprised when I tell you we took them in Zurich. My friends from ZigZagZurich created this wall at their new headquarter and turned an ordinary building into a very instagrammable place. I’ll certainly be back for more pictures, and maybe I’m inspiring you too.

Would you like to hear about my adventures and favourite spots in Lisbon in a post?

Like every year, I refuse to let the cold of autumn in my heart and soul and linger as long as possible in my tropical summer mood. Let’s pretend it’s still warm, let’s be fooled into thinking the sounds we hear is palm leaves rustling in the wind. I try to pose as effortless as I can, wearing things from warmer countries: My look is a very international mixture from Spain, Thailand, China, Columbia/Venezuela.

It’s a matter of heart to point out my hat and bag: They are both from the Swiss non-profit organization Mama Tierra (read more about them in my post here). I truly adore the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Wayuu woman who made the pieces.

At the moment Mama Tierra is running a campaign to bring solar energy to their homes in South America. There are only a few days left, and I think it’s a cause so worthy of support, especially since I know the amazing women behind the project. They work very hard and with a lot of passion and I wish that they can soon turn on the lights in over 100 Wayuu households to make the lives of those people easier and safer.

Sad but true: Bodies don’t come with a restart button. This is the reason why I decided it’s finally time to take better care of mine.

Despite knowing better, I used to cheat myself with the sweet illusion that if I eat crisps in the dark and finish my bar of chocolate without leaving evidence, my body wouldn’t betray myself. The fact that I have been a Vegetarian since my teenage years helped me to stay in shape and people were often surprised when I told them that I don’t do any sports. But with the years I realized it would get harder to stay in shape and even more important: Healthy. So time for a rapid change!

A little bit more than a month ago, in a sudden rush of motivation, I picked a personal trainer. This was the trigger to more than I thought: I am doing sports twice a week with a discipline that astonishes myself, and for the first time in my life I miss something when I have to skip a lesson (which only happens if there is a very good excuse).

I exchanged cereals and marmalade bread with smoothies, stopped drinking almost entirely, and my diet turned (almost) Vegan. I find a lot of pleasure in discovering the new (and therefore exciting) world of sports clothing and healthy nutrition.

I am still struggling with certain exercises, but it fills me with pride when I master something I wouldn’t have a few months ago. My boyfriend says he can already see a change – and I am very motivated to go on and feel good in the meanwhile. I’ll tell you more about my training schedule soon, now I’m off for a run, of course, dressed in pink and purple 😉

Go Sara go!

I sincerely enjoy tropical places wherever I am. When you start looking for them you realize, there are more of them than you thought. I love to visit beautiful parks, tropical gardens, and greenhouses. One of my favourite places in the world is Kew Gardens, one of the (or even THE) biggest botanical collection in the world.

Palm trees and cacti have a certain magical attraction on me. When I am in a tropical garden, I can trick myself into thinking it‘s holidays.

Therefore I love best to wear my holiday looks and this year I am especially fond of jumpsuits. This all-in-one garment is comfortable to wear, and it comes in various fits for all body shapes.

My favourite jumpsuit style is fitted at the waist and with long, wide legs. Combined with slim high heels this style fakes killer legs. A jumpsuit look doesn‘t necessarily require a lot of jewellery (especially if you go for a printed fabric) but I couldn‘t resist wearing my new flamingo fascinator. After all flamingos like palm trees too, everybody knows. Botanical garden I love you and I love to dress up to visit you!

What is your trick for a mini holiday experience?

What is better than eating delicious ice cream on a hot summer day? When Magnum teams up with Moschino’s Jeremy Scott to create a capsule collection of quirky comic bags! It is an unexpected union of two things that I love, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Since rebellious Jeremy Scott became creative director of Moschino, I am deeply in love with how the label pushes the limits of style again and again. Their clash of luxury high fashion with pop culture and lowbrow is truly unique and fashion at its best: Bold and fresh!
The collaboration with Magnum seems logical after Moschino’s Mac Donalds inspired collection a few years ago ( I still adore this collection so much and I am happy I own a bag). No fast food menu without dessert! Of course, I couldn’t resist getting one of the bags. And guess what: I didn’t just greedily grab one for myself, but secured one for one of my lovely readers too. Read below how to enter my giveaway.
This summer you will see me eating the new Magnum Double ice cream bars raspberry and coconut (very, very yummy) while I carry my Moschino wild beast with me. Yay!
How to win a Moschino x Magnum bag:
Simply leave a comment below this post. I will give away a limited yellow Moschino x Magnum bag, value EUR 260. The giveaway is open worldwide and ends on the 6th of August 2017.
Good luck!

You are the maker of your own happiness! For a long time, I thought this is a hollow sentence found on calendar sheets and not much more. But wait for a second!

A while ago I chose to focus more on what’s good in my life instead of living for what I might achieve in the future. Surprisingly this new attitude has quite an effect on me.

I made a list of things that I am looking forward – from small events like a dinner with friends or having a day off to bigger steps like the next holidays or an important career step – and I was genuinely surprised by how long the list got. I got aware of all that I have, while very often was craving for what I miss in the past.

Therefore to focus must be a major key to happiness. This is the way I wanna go from now on!

Even if my life is not a fairytale, it is quite good: I can do a lot of what I love while I am surrounded by people I love, and there are constantly exciting things happening. Sure not things that will appear in history books, but very often you find happiness in the details if you just focus.

And by the way: I even found a wall to fit my outfit perfectly. Isn’t that cool?

Coincidence is my partner in crime: I didn’t plan how the wind plays with my hair in these pictures, didn’t know about the beautiful marble wall before leaving the house nor of jumping in front of the camera.
Coincidence is what made me start this blog, meet my boyfriend for the very first time and probably it’s why I am here. Coincidence is everything, unless you believe in destiny.
Fashion is eventuality as well: There is no such a thing as THE perfect look, but a lot of chance happening why you have several pieces at hand and why certain things attract your eyes. They encounter you on the market in Bangkok, you had to wait for the bus in Zurich, or a friend told you about that particular shop in London. But all could have been very different if you went to Iceland, took the car instead of the bus or had tea with a different friend.
Coincidence might also make you win a pair of handmade Winkwood glasses, like the ones I wear. Do you believe that you might be the lucky one? Then give it a try! Good luck to all fellow friends of coincidence!

You get as well 30% when shopping at Winkwood with the code SARAISINLOVEWITH.
