Nothing makes you realize more how much you changed than rummaging in the deepest depths of your wardrobe. Yesterday I was brave enough to make a journey into my fashion past and decluttered bravely. The result is three big bags for charity and space for new things, which means as well time for a wishlist post!

But first let me tell you about my old sins: I found things that looked like they must belong to an entirely different person, things a Sara ten years ago must have liked and Sara from the present can’t see the reason why. I don’t hide anything: I found several models of the most boring black dresses, shoes that screamed 80s (and not in a good way) and even a brown leopard pattern skirt (eeeeeeek brown, I hate brown from the bottom of my heart, I really do).

I was always considered as a fashion girl by the people around me, but I think my style evolved a lot. Ten years ago, my wardrobe was more conventional and less colourful than nowadays. I cared much about dressing to please others and what people talked about me. Today I just roll my eyes and think “Let them talk, whatever I don’t care, ” and I feel very grateful for finding this boldness.

So gone, baby gone, discard the old and bring in more rainbows!, I have space for new things! Ladies and gentlemen, we are building the perfect wardrobe of the future! 😉

Rainbow Shoes  –  Blue Printed Dress  –  Tassle Earrrings
Red Handbag  –  Bodycon Dress  –  Parakeet Necklace  –  Winged Handbag
Sunglasses  –  Pink Shoes

Time to let you have a glimpse into my dream shopping bag again, and it’s all colourful like confetti. If this moment a parcel with all wish list pieces would arrive at my doorstep sent by a good fairy, I would drop dead from an overdose of beauty.

No offense Belle – I like books too – but shoes and bags win today, and I would consider turning the library of the castle into a walk-in closet. Do you think the beast would be angry with me? (By the way, if you haven’t seen The Beauty and the Beast you should hurry to the cinema and watch the adventure of the first Disney princess that didn’t do what men told her).

There are so many events happening at the moment, and I constantly feel the urge to be dressed especially well, what doesn’t make my wish list smaller. If there are small and big boxes of coloured crayons, I certainly wish myself and my wardrobe to be the deluxe edition.

Please, please Easter bunny, have a look at this list and maybe reconsider the chocolate you have in your bag for me. I bet some shoes would fit into your basket too 😉

Yesterday, for the first time this year I felt spring approaching. I watered the plants on the balcony without freezing, and the sunrays tempted me to sit into my baby blue Acapulco chair for a few minutes. Oh yes, I anticipate the warmer weather coming back!
Inspired by the beautiful light, I started to compose this wish list post, and I bet you are not surprised it turned out all spring-like and colourful. How I would love to wear everything together to a smashing look…
I love all my fluffy coats, but I am so so ready to put them aside till next winter. I want to wear my highest heels without fearing to slip on icy streets, and I am looking forward to fewer layers of clothes. Please, please, please sun, say you are here to stay. I‘ll do my best to pick up piece after piece of my spring wardrobe in the meanwhile to look like a sparkling rainbow when the flowers start to sprout.
Which pieces of this wish list do you like best and what are your must-have spring items?

I love the moment of pleasant anticipation when a cute parcel arrives, and I have no idea what’s inside. When I slowly open the box, remove the wrapping paper and discover a sweet surprise from far far away, that makes me happy. The Kawaii Box brings you this feeling every month with handpicked items from Japan and Korea. If you follow my blog for a while, you might know how fond I am of this box and that I think it’s the perfect gift idea for your kawaii friends.

This is already my the third Kawaii box, and I can’t wait for the next. The first thing I discovered is the Pokemon candy, and it disappeared in a few seconds (Oops). Since I love bunnies,  I am especially glad to receive the Rabi-Dango plush rabbit and the glittery bunny stickers.

As a regular client of the kawaii box you are very well equipped with cute pens and coin purses, two things a girl can never have too many. The I Love You purse from this box is already in use to make my life a little bit tidier.

There was a DIY candy set included as well, already my third one, and maybe it’s finally time to try it because until now I was too lazy to figure out what to do with them (the instructions are in Japanese only).

Some of the little things like the Invisible Secret Pen Set or the Harajuku Hair Loops might find it’s way to my godchild because as a godmother you need to have some little gifts ready all the time. Well, in general, it’s always a good idea to bring joy and make your dearest friends and family smile.

Of course, this applies to my readers too and therefore I have something for you too: One of you can win next months Kawaii box. Just follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter below to participate and don’t forget to smile when you receive a box with hearts. The giveaway is open worldwide, so you can all participate.

Good luck and stay kawaii!

For the first time ever, I went to a factory outlet, the Fashion Fish in Schoenenwerd. I imagined outlets to be sad places with a lot of jumble more for the label-addicted than for the real fashion lovers. What I found was far better than what I could have imagined and surprised me. But let’s start from the beginning:

The Fashion Fish is very easy to reach from Zurich by train and offers premium labels such as Bally, Lacoste, Guess, Diesel, Nike, Timberland and much more.

I arrived with a lovely bunch of other bloggers, and we were warmly greeted by stylist Clifford Lilley and photographer Amanda Nicolic, who offered us helpful advice on how to look good in front of the camera. After drinks and a guided tour through the center, we got a 500 CHF voucher to shop a look.

It was quite a crazy experience, and I felt like a participant of the TV show Shopping Queen. Because the time was limited and I was keen to find something that I loved, I felt under pressure. After all, you don’t get so much money to spend in one go every day. It was a lof of fun to see all bloggers shop, ask those likeminded but all very different people for their opinion and see what treasures they found.

But when I spotted the gorgeous pink Bally shoes, the first shoes I own from the luxury label, all doubts vanished, and I was inspired to style an elegant evening look. Shortly after I bought the shoes, I found the perfect coat and dress to go with them at Hallhuber. I love the simple elegance of the look and think the coat has a slight Asian touch, especially combined with my hair cut.

After a touch-up, it was time to show our purchases in the pictures taken by Amanda. Since she is such a cheerful person, I instantly felt very comfortable in front of her camera and the shooting was a fabulous end to an exciting day. Thank you so much for having us Fashion Fish, I can’t wait to be back (Maybe one Bally item isn’t enough in my life…).

wishlist, blogger, autumn fashion
Metallic High Heels  –  Neon Sign Necklace  –  Pink Sunnies
Metallic Flamingo Bag  – Love Me Tender Bag  – Diamond Ring
Pleated Velvet Skirt  –  Flower Necklace  –  Red Platform Shoes  –  Fake Fur Jacket

1.  Enjoy autumn: Although it’s not my favourite season, I want to focus on the good things, munch a lot of chestnuts, wrap myself in fluffy things and hide from the cold at home with a lot of tea and scented candles while listening to records.

2. Declutter my wardrobe: It’s time to let go and downsize! Earlier this year I read the book “The Lifechanging Magic of Decluttering” by Marie Kondo. I love the thought of having a flat full of only the things that cause a “spark of joy.”

3. Less understatement, more self-confidence: I am the master of making myself small. But is this reasonable? I am not perfect just like everybody, and I feel it’s time to be okay with this and focus more on what my skills and qualities instead of being worried about my faults.

4. Manage to have a tidy desk for more than a day. Seriously: My desk looks very blogger-cliche, a mess full of shoeboxes, makeup, accessories and event invitations. My goal is to have it Instagram ready – all the time.

5.  Call or write all my friends I’ve neglected during the last months and let them know that they are important in my life, even if I might not be there every day.

6. Shop less: I own far more than I need and I think it’s essential that we all reflect on our habits of consumption because of our environment.

7. Take my darling to a unique location in London for his birthday. It should be posh, lovely and have fancy food. If you have any ideas, leave me a comment.

8. Visit the Björk Digital exhibition at the Somerset House: Cause this iconic woman is a big source of inspiration, I admire that she seems ahead of her time. Besides: This is gonna be my first virtual reality exhibition.

9. Start to think about Christmas: Cause it seems to be too soon every year, and it’s always a stressful time to have everything from cookies to gift guide articles ready. This year I wanna finally make it and start early!

10. Relax: Sometimes I feel like one of those Indian gods with the many arms, not because I consider myself as divine, but life is so busy, and there is barely time to take a breath and just be. I believe it’s important to slow down from time to time. A perfect day doesn’t have to be glamorous but can involve to stay home with uncombed hair, wear no makeup and watch series only.

Oh, Amsterdam, I enjoyed wandering your streets during my holidays this month. The Dutch capital is truly a fabulous place to relax and spend a few days. Most people know that Amsterdam is famous for sex and drugs, I say it’s a paradise for shoppers, delicious food, art from many periods, and innovative design.

I have never seen so many concepts stores at one place, so shopping was a real experience next to sightseeing and wandering around museums and galleries. The Dutch are very friendly and joyful, and most people speak very fluent English what makes it very easy for visitors to find their way.

While you wander around the beautiful historic houses and cross the picturesque canals of Amsterdam, you feel like you landed in a real life version of Disneyland. If you like to walk, you see most of the city. It’s not too big or confusing, so you don’t have to be afraid of getting lost. If you arrive in Amsterdam, I can recommend doing a boat tour first to get an overview. Afterward, you might hire a bicycle and go with the flow, just like the Dutch.

Amsterdam, be prepared, I am coming back for sure!

My five favourite places in Amsterdam

The Museum of Bags and Purses:
The world’s largest museum of handbags located in a beautiful house by the canal. Read more about it in my post here.

Envy:
Treat yourself to a five or six-course menu and just sit back and enjoy at this modern and rather posh restaurant. If you are a Vegetarian like me or have any special wishes, just mention them and the lovely staff will take care of it.

Kitsch Kitchen:
My favourite shop in the city offering all kind of kitschy things and a huge selection of colourful treasures from Mexico.

The Conservatorium:
Very cool cocktail bar with a fantastic selection of gin cocktails. I even found a cocktail to fit my pink glitter handbag 😉

W Hotel:
The rooftop bar is not just a good place for having a snack or drink but has a fabulous pool with the best view. Another advice: Visit the toilets, they are quite spectacular…

fashion wish list, accessories, blogger
Sequin Bag  –  Leather Neckpiece  –  Bomber Jacket
GRL PWR Viser  –    Sunglasses  –  Cloud Dress  –  Rainbow Phone Case
Bluehaird Gaela Brooch  –  Embellished Sandals

Wishlists are supposed to be not just good, but better than real life (otherwise they would be shopping lists 😉 ). So I always work especially hard to present only the most dreamy things on my wishlists. Today I have a lot of fluffy clouds, sequins, and roses for you, all in pastel colours; beautiful isn’t it?

At the moment the shops are kind of a nether land between the seasons: All summer items are on sale, but it’s still too early to get excited about coats and wool jumpers. Therefore most of the things I am craving for right now are accessories. They will accompany you no matter if it’s pool time or if the leaves already fall (please not yet, please, I want summer to stay forever).

I feel like dreaming on a fluffy cloud number seven while I imagine how beautiful the baby blue dress would look with the embellished shoes and the leather neckpiece… Where is my credit card, time for shopping!

What do you like best from this wish list and what’s on yours, lovelies?
