Friday, yay! For this week’s Friday Favourites I chose very dreamy things, because I think that’s what we need. Dreaming of pink plastic hair, futuristic shoes, fluffy fur and a princess dress makes a girl forget about the hard work life, doesn’t it?

I had a little bit a cold the whole week, and this is why I rather spent time at home browsing the net in the evenings, instead of going out. I think my favourites benefited from the extended online time… My plans for the weekend are to continue with making myself comfortable at home. Just me, my computer, a lot of tea and sleep. Probably I’ll already look out for my next Friday Favourites, be prepared…

What are your plans for the weekend and how do you like my finds?

Red/Pink Cloud Dress from House of Holland  –  Carmen Miranda Shoes  –  Palm Print Dress
Pineapple Dress from Lalalove  –  Shell Necklace  –  Sticker Backpack
Yellow Shoes with Bow  –  Gem Print Dress

Sale – the exciting time to get your hands on designer pieces at an affordable price or to buy things from your wish list before they are gone for good. Of course the most comfortable way to shop the sale is online and I had a look at the webshops to present you my sale pick.

There are so many pretty things around, I could have easily made a list with 100 things, but just the very best made it to my post. The probably most important thing about styling is to select and limit!

I think especially the pineapple dress (Lalalove London) and the pink/red cloud dress (House of Holland) need to find their way into a lovely shopping bag. Both pieces are an investment for an eye-catching fashion statement. You will regret if they are gone (as will I)!

So what are you waiting for: Hurry over and shop! I’ll follow you. What do you plan to get from the sale and how do you like my pick?

Art loves fashion and fashion loves art back! Among all the art movements, especially pop art is a never-ending inspiration for fashion. Repeating symbols in flashy colours, comic inspired prints and Warhol’s Marilyn are fashion evergreens. Wearing them makes you instantly feel like a pop art heroine.

A little bit of art in your outfit never hurts and is perfect for a stroll through your favourite galleries or just for everyday. There is nothing such as a wrong time to turn yourself into a walking piece of art!

Pop art is not really your thing? Go for Mexican surrealism then with Frida Kahlo! Her face has already been printed on thousands of T-shirts and decorates the necks of the coolest ladies. But the best Frida-themed thing I’ve ever seen are clearly the socks above: Definitely a must have for admirers of this fabulous woman and a must have for an arty look!

How do you like those arty fashion pieces and which one is your favourite?

Shopping in Zurich: Boring you think? If you follow the main shopping mile you must have the impression that this city is just home of big major chains and no creative shops. But there is hope: You just have to search a little bit and you will find hidden gems. Such as Marta, a shop that opened recently and is already one of my favourite places in this city. It’s not just a shop, it’s a place that unites fashion, home decor, art and accessories, a place run by three creative women.

Jewellery designer NinaBee, illustrator Andrea Raemy (Things by JOLLA) and fashion designer Claudia Nabholz made their dream come true, when they opened their store together. If you enter the place, you are always greeted in a very warm way and you can really feel the passion and love of this three women for what they do.

Every piece they sell is either made by them or very carefully selected. Huge hand drawn illustrations on the walls and golden tree branches used as cloth hangers are part of the decoration of the shop and make you feel like you are in an enchanted forest. In this lovely atmosphere, it’s a pleasure to shop for jewellery, pretty silk shirts, the newest summer dresses and unusual things for your home. You will leave Marta with a smile on your face, new inspiration in your heart and happily come back.

Do you already have that feeling that spring is close as well? It’s like a tickling in my fingers, this feeling of new things coming and the birth of change. Spring is the perfect time to get rid of unwanted things and habits! Time to sort out old things and feel as light as a bird in the sky afterwards.

My life seems to change fast at the moment. I don’t know where it leads me, but I know there are exciting things to come. The approaching spring is just the boost of energy needed to face the future and open the next page of the book called “Lovely Sara’s Adventures”.

After a proper spring-clean, it’s definitely time to treat yourself with a reward! What better reward is there than something thrilling in your wardrobe? The days of moody winter are numbered, time to colour yourself, colour the world!

What from my list do you like best and would you love to see in my future outfit posts?

I am suffering from a very severe shopping fever at the moment. Whenever I think I have the perfect outfit ready, despite my full wardrobe there is something like the icing on the cake. This makes me browse for particular ties of bags, shoes and dresses all the time. Here I show you ten random things I fell in love with on my endless journey through the online shops.

Very soon my blog is gonna turn two years old. Because of this, I am thinking about my goals for it in the future and as well how I think my personal style might evolve in the future. This are my five personal fashion goals I have at the moment:

5 Personal Fashion Goals

1. Leaving the Safe Harbour
I want to try more unusual materials, shapes and colour combinations. Time for more experiments! I don’t want to stay the same, it’s always time for reinvention and change.

2. No More Bad Outfit Days
Especially when I work a lot for my daytime job, I don’t care as much as I wish about my outfit. On this days I don’t feel like myself and I want to have as less of these days as possible.

3. Going Out With My Treasures More Often
The prettiest things I have I don’t wear very often or not at all, because I couldn’t stand them getting damaged. But seriously: Is there really a point in having an exhibition just for myself on my shoe shelf? From now on, I want to show off my beauties!

1. Less Opaque Tights
I constantly feel cold and this is why I wear almost always opaque tights. I own them in all the colours you can imagine, but why not wearing more cheeky sheer tights? I think my boyfriend will approve…

5. Mission: Everyday Handbag
I believe there is nothing more difficult to buy, than a proper everyday handbag. At the moment I have to be ashamed of mine and this has to change! Help welcome.

Festive season is coming closer in a fast pace and with it the invitations to dinners and parties. Wearing a dress is always a good choice either to please future mothers-in-law or  to look splendid at your office party.

This season is the perfect excuse to wear glitter, romantic clothes, a little bit kitschy accessories, lace and sequins. I think choosing a dress is far easier than buying other garments: Dresses are flattering no matter if you are small or tall and there is a dress for every size and body shape.

If I had to decide for my favourites I would love to wear the Bernie Dexter dress with it’s romantic Christmas village print to the family party and the bronze metallic dress from Topshop for New Years Eve.

Do you already have outfit plans for the festive seasons?

Jumper: Truffle Shuffle, Skirt: Cédric Charlier at Avenue 32, Bracelet: Kirsty Ward at Bengt, Tights: Romwe

I am obsessed with colours more than ever before and this style is proof. On other blogs, you will find a post like this as a mood board about colourful fashion, I say: Why not wear all these pieces together, just the way I show them? At least I would love to and declare this outfit to one of my dream outfits! I want ponies, I want rainbows, glitter and never forget about the pompoms!

I remember brushing the hair of my Little Ponies when I was a child, I loved their pastel coloured manes. I think the first ponies have been made when I was born or maybe a little bit earlier and so they were about the first toys I can remember too. Wearing them on a jumper would bring up a lot of nostalgia. I am sure the ponies would love the pompom clutch and the colourful accessories as much as I do.

What do you think about this outfit, would you wear it or just pick out one piece for yourself?

This is a selection of the items I like best in the online shops at the moment. A lot of prints, pastels and cute details included to spread fun.
I will ignore the darker autumn colours that are sneaking into the shops as long as possible. Down jackets? Nobody needs them, as long as there are light girly things spreading fun instead.
I definitely need the flower print top with the cute metallic bows and the Melissa heels. I think the lightning bolt bag is a winner too. I have a lot of fancy bags, but just a few bags for everyday use. This one could be the solution. I really have to restrain myself, not to order everything and I just hold back because I want to leave some pretty things for you.
What do you think, which of this items can’t be missing in the perfect wardrobe?
Pineapple Fascinator: Pearls & Swine, Sunglasses: Quay Eyeware, Shoes: Asos, Top: Black Milk, Necklace: Tessa Blazey at Edition X,  Bangle: Serena Kuhl, Skirt: Sonia Rykiel at The Corner

Sitting in a beach chair, having big sun glasses on and drinking a Pina Colada with a lot of coconut cream. This is the scene I imagined, while putting together this outfit mood board – a decadent and quirky look for an opulent and crazy lady.

Don’t you think this crop top and fascinator were made for each other? When I was a child, I used to dress up as a pineapple for parties and carnival. I was working for days on my pineapple hat I made out of a bucket. The fascinator shown here is of course much more beautiful than my childhood hat, but it absolutely awakes the desire of putting a pineapple on top of my head again. This fashion eccentricity is definitely a must in my wardrobe!

From my last outfit post you know that I love the combination of crop top and pencil skirt and I can’t get enough of this trend. I think showing the belly is a little bit too much skin if you don’t plan to go to the beach. Just expose the midriff, this makes the look ready for the city!

So, do you wanna wear a pineapple hat too and drink Pina Colada with me?
