Maybe you noticed: Surprisingly for a jewellery addict, I didn’t have pierced ears. I used to wear a lot of clip on earrings, but unfortunately the selection is very limited and I often caught myself craving for “real earrings”. A few days ago I finally was a brave girl and had my ears pierced for a very special reason (I’ll tell you more about this as soon as I can). I have to wait for five weeks, till I can wear earrings, but I am already counting the days. It’s like a new world is opening.

I was already browsing the shops for the most beautiful earrings and these are the treasures I found. Beautiful earrings can be the final touch to an exciting outfit, especially when they are big and colourful. I am excited to include them into my future outfits.

Which earrings are your favorites and do you often wear earrings yourself?

My favourite jelly shoes right now, see where to get them below.

Do you remember the jelly sandals from the 90s? They are back and they don’t come alone. While I am the biggest fan of the label Melissa and wear jelly shoes since I heard about their existence as a teenager, this year jelly shoes seem to invade the streets and are everybody’s darling. A lot of labels supply us with shiny, pretty shoes, made of plastic. They are comfortable, don’t mind getting wet and spread summer feelings immediately.

Here I show you a little selection of the prettiest jellys I’ve spotted for you. I counted 20 pairs of jelly shoes on my shoe shelf right now and I tell you, this addiction is unstoppable. If you don’t have any jelly shoes, now the time is right. No matter if you go for comfortable sandals, beach-style flip flops or elegant high heels: Jelly Shoes have to be part of your summer dream this year.

Will you go for jelly shoes this season and which one?

There is still time to enter my Sugar & Vice give away.

From broccoli, cherry pie, squid, Fruit Loops and pasta, everything what Eat.Me.Do turns into jewellery is a feast for the eyes. You might be tempted to put the beautiful things in your mouth, but beware: It looks to good to eat and therefore is made to last and sate your appetite for stylish fashion accessories day after day.

Melbourne based Designer Lara Ivachev is the creative mind behind the label Eat.Me.Do. After graduating with an advertising degree, Lara started in June 2012 to create handcrafted jewellery made from clay. After being moulded, the jewellery is baked in an oven and hand painted. Customer orders are welcome as well, just tell Lara about your favourite meal. Lara is the right person to turn all your dreams of chicken tikka and banana split into a tasty statement piece.

I adore that the jewellery from Eat.Me.Do looks so playful and happy. I believe everybody who sees this jewellery must immediately feel the love it was made with. All the pieces are extremely appetizing, yet this sweets are neither bad for your teeth, nor do they have any calories.

Five Questions to the designer:

Hi Lara, did you dream of making food jewellery for your whole life or how did this idea start?
No I never dreamed of making food jewellery at all. I always had a love for quirky, bright things…it came about after I discovered how much I enjoyed making the pieces and how much people loved them. No one wanted to give me a job,so I created my own.

What was the first piece of food you ever turned into jewellery?
The first food I ever turned into food was actually a string of banana! They were so fun and colourful!

What inspires you for your work?
I am inspired by anything quirky, bright, sparkly and 60’s inspired. I have a fetish for all things glittery and bubbly.

What is the connection between food and fashion in your opinion?
The connection between food and fashion in my eyes is the beautiful colours and somewhat novelty quality of food in fashion. I’m attracted to different and unique ways of using food in a wearable way that makes people fall in love.

What is your the menu of your dreams?
My dream menu would be one filled with mountains of sparkles, whipped cream, fruit and glazed cherries. I have a cheeky sweet tooth and can’t go past a sugar coated treat.

Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nails, 04 Strawberry Stars
This is the first cosmetic review post ever on this blog. I think the products I discovered fit so well to my blog and I couldn’t resist. I am strongly influenced by Japanese fashion, I love South Korean movies and now I found another love made in South Korea: Cute, very kawaii make up from Tony Moly and Etude house. All their products have the most pretty packages you’ve ever seen and their prices are very reasonable, even if you have to import them. I tested three products for you and let you know about my experience.
Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar, 9 Neon Red
Let’s face it, I rarely go out with natural looking lips. Usually a bold, bright lipstick makes me feel very good. Therefor this gloss bar is not really the product I would wear every day. It leaves just a hint of colour on the lips, but it makes them smooth and shiny. Despite the colour being called neon red, it’s more a pinkish shade. The lip gloss bar has a light fruity candy scent, which reminds me of my teenage years. All the girls at school had lip gloss and a huge variety of sweet scents. I suffered from several allergic reactions, because of them. With this lip gloss, I don’t have any issues at all, just nicely hydrated lips. There are about 10 different shades available, all with a different smell and another cute little face printed on the packaging.
Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nails, 04 Strawberry Stars
Isn’t it a genious idea to design a nail polish packaging that looks like an ice cream cone? I love the light pink colour of it and the pretty glitter. The brush is flat which makes the nail polish easy to apply. It’s a little bit vicious and you definitely need to apply at least two layers, till it’s well covering. If you want to have a really opaque look, I think you might need 3 shades. It doesn’t chip off easily, after three days of wearing it, it looks still perfect on my nails. All in all I think this nail polish can’t compete with my Essie polishes, but it’s cheaper and the pretty packaging is worth buying it.
Etude House Missing U Hand Cream #3, This is “Panda Story”
This panda that appears like a mini matryoshka doll is indeed a hand cream. It smells pleasantly of peach, maybe a little bit artificial. The cream contains shea butter, natural herbs and olives. The texture of the cream is light and it leaves no greasy film on your hands, but makes them smooth and feeling hydrated. However, if you have very dry hands, you might need another cream. The packaging is probably the best thing about the cream, it’s cute beyond all meanings, but it’s maybe as well a minus: The size is very small. It contains just 30 ml of hand cream, which is gone very fast if you use it regularly. The good news: There are three other cute animals waiting, all of them containing a different scent of hand cream and you can collect them all and make your girls jealous, when you take one of them out of your hand bag.
Where to buy: I ordered everything over Ebay. There are many sellers. The delivery from South Korea was surprisingly fast and without any problems. I definitely have to come back for other products and would love to try out more from both of this brands.

10 Things About Lovely Sara

1. Somebody once offered me money to see me without makeup. I didn’t accept and am still waiting for a better offer. 😉

2. I often have nightmares about giant spiders hiding under my bed.

3. When I lived in London, I had the same hair dresser as Agyness Deyn.

4. I only have one pair of jeans in my wardrobe. It’s a pair of Levi’s Curve ID trousers, the only one I found to perfectly suit my curvy body shape.

5. My favourite milliner and my current hairdresser are as well two of my very best friends.

6. I love Fruit Loops, no matter if for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

7. I rarely call people. Somehow I suddenly feel very shy if I have to dial a number and write instead, whenever there is the possibility.

8. The perfumes I love most are Alien by Thierry Mugler and The Rouge by Bvlgari.

9. I’ve seen the movie “Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King”seven times at the cinema because I was so enchanted by it.

10.  Something you might have guessed: I collect Melissa shoes. At the moment I have 15 pairs. I hope my collection will grow a lot of and I want my whole flat to smell of their bubblegum scent.

Pearls & Swine, Fashion, Ice Cream, Melissa, Karl Lagerfeld
Fascinator: Pearls & Swine*, Dress: Lashes of London, Lipstick: Lime Crime, Clutch: Liusia Japan at Boticca,
Shoes: Karl Lagerfeld for Melissa at Farfetch

It’s definitely time for ice cream now! Which is your favourite flavor? I can’t decide, because I love all the pretty pastel colours at the ice cream parlour. This outfit brings all of them together: Baby Pink like strawberry, lemon yellow, berry purple and blue like the mysterious ice cream called “smurfs”. The outfit starts with a cone on the head and ends with one at the heel. Both of this pieces made me shriek out with pleasure when I saw them first. I think the fascinator from Pearls & Swine and the shoes from Karl Lagerfeld from Melissa are perfection. I need both of them in my life for my perfect summer feeling, don’t you agree?

I would love to play a little game and pretend that I work at an ice cream parlour, providing all of you with the most delicious ice cream you ever tasted. I would wear my cone fascinator every day and sell pistachio, vanilla and coconut. An ice cream girl dressed like this would be the attraction of the city for sure!

Don’t you think this outfit is sweeter than any flavour of ice cream?

Last week I visited the beautiful zoo in our city. Besides enclosures for elephants, penguins and tigers, there is an extraordinary Madagascan rainforest hall. You can walk through this little exotic world on small foot paths and see flying foxes as well as cute little monkeys. There are benches to sit under big palm trees, while you hear the sound of a waterfall and exotic birds. The probably best thing about this hall are the always tropical temperatures. Especially when the long anticipated spring still hasn’t arrived yet, it’s the perfect place to go.

The zoo visit inspired me for this post about tropical fashion. Clothes with exotic prints and accessories shaped like jungle plants are coming back nearly every spring or summer and I never get tired of them. There seems to be a desire for the mysterious jungle life with its bright colours and amazing plants in all of us. Dressing like a jungle girl is a wonderful way to cheer up. I especially like the jungle shirt from Fairgound, you can wear it as a dress as well. I think it would look cool either with the necklace from Tatty Devine or the fascinator from Pearls & Swine. Dressed like this, I would forget about the cold weather and wait for my Tarzan to arrive and take me with him to an exotic world.

Do you like jungle inspired fashion too and which of these pieces is your favourite?

The Easter weekend is approaching with big, fast steps. Are you looking forward to a few days with your friends, family and chocolate? I can’t wait to have a little bit of time to relax and see some of the most lovely people I know. The weather seems to get a little bit better, at least there is a hint of sun already today and I can’t spot snow anymore. Maybe it will be possible to hide the Easter gifts outside.

This is the outfit, I would love to wear, for a chocolate bunny hunt in the garden. Aren’t the shoes from Irregular Choice  unlike any other shoes in your wardrobe? My heart is melting while seeing so much cuteness. The dress from Romwe matches them perfect, it’s sweet and romantic with the beautiful lace and flower print. The trim socks bring even more attention to the shoes and the gloves complement the print of the dress.  If there is something to celebrate, buntings can’t be missed of course. In my outfit, they are in the form of a beautiful perspex necklace from Tatty Devine. If Easter turns out as sunny as we all hope, the heart shaped glasses are the perfect choice, to complete the look.

I wish you a happy Easter, a lot of chocolate and I do hope you like my Easter outfit.

What have Wonder Woman, Ms. Marvel, Vampirella and She-Cat in common, except being comic book heroines? Like many other heroines they wear a bodysuit and experience the most dangerous adventures wearing it. All of them look stunning in their bodysuit.

So why shouldn’t we girls without super powers do it like them? I own a whole pile of bodysuits and at the moment I am especially in love with printed versions. While other girls sometimes tell me they think bodysuits are not sexy, I am convinced by the opposite and think they flatter my body. They highlight your body shape and fit like a second skin. I style them with short skirts most of the time, for a more sporty look you can combine your bodysuit with trousers. I love all the bodysuits I show you about and truly can’t choose a favourite and wish I had them all.

For all my German speaking readers: There is a lovely post about bodysuits on the blog of my friend Elyhana. She loves bodysuits too and looks stunning in them.

Do you like bodysuits too and which one of these is your favourite?
