La Petite Box, an exciting Swiss lifestyle subscription box, is always good for a surprise. I love that they come up with new cool themes for their boxes month after month and that I discover new brands and products with them. This box was all about love, the topic number one among us girls (besides fashion and makeup) no matter if in a relationship or single.

La Petite Box Review Subscribe Box

Mini Silk Scarf from The Moshi

One little silk scarf, many possibilities: It keeps the neck protected from the cold (or hides love bruises), can be used as a headband or to decorate a bag.

Cute Keychain from Virugle

Of course no love box without a Paris-themed item! I love this keychain with the cute macaroon, Eiffel Tower, and sweets charms. Oui, je peux utiliser ça!   Moschino Cheap And Chic So Real Mini
Everybody knows how much I love Moschino, so this is my favourite item in this box. It’s a rather light and fresh scent with a mixture of citruses and fruity notes and a very cool blue bottle.

Treaclemoon Raspberry Kiss Hand-Cream

A raspberry bomb for soft hands coming in a cute packaging. You do well treaclemoon!

Osis Soft Glam Strong Glossy Holdspray

A hairspray for a controlled out-of-bed-look. Love the pink bottle and its smell. Since I love to have my hair always 100% under control I think it might not be my thing.

Labellino by Labello Lip Balm

Very cute lip balm that smells like raspberry and red apple. Sounds like it must have come directly from paradiese and my lips are happy.

Toothbrush Set from Curaprox

I love Curaprox and their colourful toothbrushes. I was a little bit surprised by the Swiss cross (Wouldn’t a heart have been better for a love box?). Since I don’t have a very great sense of nationality, those found their way into another bathroom.

Heldenpause Lemonade

A lemonade without preservatives, sugar or artificial flavourings, but with an amazing taste of pears, apples, and herbs. Very yummy! Can I please have another bottle and pretend I’m a hero?

Marshmallow kit

A cool retro style kit to make your own pink marshmallows. As a vegan, I am sadly out, and I think I would be too lazy anyway, so I gave this one to a friend.

Before the first flowers sprout in the gardens, Mademoiselle by Azzaro brings the smell of spring onto your skin. This perfume is a light, fruity-floral Eau de Toilette. It greets you with sweet peach and fresh mandarin blossom, followed by jasmine, peony and orange blossom. Then it finally caresses you with a blend of orris and precious wood notes.

The woman I see wearing Mademoiselle is a young chic Parisian beauty with a gentle heart. Her head is full of dreams of romance, and she has a playful soul. Her smile is bedazzling, and the wind plays with her long hair while she spends mild spring eves in the parks of her beloved Paris enjoying the sun.

Maybe she wears a pretty bow in her hair, just like the silver satin ribbon on the bottle. Did I mention how stunning the jewel-like bottle with the powdery pink liquid is?

It’s an eye-catcher in every boudoir, and if you are looking for a spring fragrance, I think you should give Mademoiselle a try and travel to Paris with a spritz.

Winter and me, we will never be friends. Since we got introduced, we have arguments about the minimum temperature necessary for human life on the planet. When it comes to style we have don’t agree either: I plead for wearing heels all year while Winter is more on the boots side. Therefore the La Petite Box „Home Sweet Home“ edition hit my nerve: The subscription box was filled with essentials for cocooning during the cold days. Sorry Winter, we will not meet much this year (bet you will not miss me and my grumpy face when my shoes get covered in mud).

So let’s have a closer look, what do we need for a cozy day at home? Good tea, a lovely cup, lights and a notebook to write down dreams and poetry. All of this was in the box and more. I am in love with the porcelain cup from Mea Living with its pink star pattern. I wanted to have a cute cup for ages since I think it’s time to stop the madness of discarding takeaway cups after every drink. Since I don’t drink coffee, I am happy there was organic luxury tea from Sirocco in the box. Sirocco is one of my favourite tea labels, yay!

In case winter wins our argument about footwear and makes me buy shoes there was a 20% voucher from ShoeLovers Club by Ochsen shoes in the box, I bet they have a lot of boots. But at the moment I rather sit home with the starlight from Heidi Swaps and use my pink YES notebook to create my first Zentangles. Zentangle is a method of drawing abstract patterns as a method to relax. ommmmmm! While I enjoy the coconut goodies from the box, I feel suddenly pleased and warm. After trying the flowery Missoni products which smell of freesia, peony, and rosyfolia, summer found it’s way back into my heart.

Yes, this is one of my favourite La Petite Boxes yet, because it came with healthy vegan snacks and drinks and the cup was a wishlist item and most important: It keeps winter away.

New year new habits! One of my good resolutions is to be more conscious what beauty products I use and discover more organic and vegan products to replace chemistry on my bathroom shelf. Cult label Dr. Bronner’s might become one of my best beauty friends in 2018, so let me tell you a little bit more about them:

Dr. Bronner’s stands for fair payment, fair prices, and sustainable organic production. The philosophy of a united world across religion, ethnic divides or perish by their founder Emanuel Bronner is printed on the labels of their products till nowadays without any changes. We are All-One or none, it says, and you get the feeling this soap is more than just soap, but a key to a better world.

Emanuel – a third-generation master soap maker from a German-Jewish family – emigrated to the USA and started Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps in 1948 with the aim to make socially and environmentally responsible high-quality products. Nowadays the company is run by his children and grandchildren.  In the USA the Dr. Bronner’s is the best-selling soap loved by stars and girls next door alike.

Dr. Bronner’s soaps, lotions, and balms contain certified organic ingredients for example oils like coconut, jojoba, hemp, and olive. Most products are vegan, except for the Magic Balm and Lip Balm who contain beeswax. All products are organic, fair trade, not tested on animals and come in recycled packaging. Only the soap bars include palm oil, but it wouldn’t be Dr. Bronner’s if it wouldn’t be produced fairtrade in their own program in Ghana.

My three favourite Dr. Bronner’s products:

Dr. Bronner’s 18 in 1 Pure-Castile Liquid Soap

This product is a real miracle! You can use it for 18 different purposes: Clean your body, face, hair, teeth and even your dishes, animals, laundry, makeup brushes or mop your floors just to name the most important ones.

The soap comes in many different fragrances, I tested peppermint, rose, eucalyptus, citrus and rose. When you start to use the soap for a lot of things, it’s best to have several of them at home and choose the scent according to the use (and for variety). Eucalyptus helped me when I had a cold as a bath, and for inhaling, the rose scent is my favourite smell for taking a shower and cleaning my face, and I like the citrus for cleaning my floors.

One of my preferred uses of the soap – regardless the fragrance – is as makeup brush cleaner. I swear it beats every brush cleaner I had before and even gets my foundation brush clean. I wouldn’t use Dr. Bronner’s soap as toothpaste on a daily base, but for short trips it’s great. I can’t wait to travel more with Dr. Bronner’s because my beauty case will be so so much lighter. Oh my, how I have been waiting for this moment!

Dr. Bronner’s Organic Hand Sanitiser

I stopped using sanitisers years ago because they turned my skin dry and I didn’t like their strong clinical smell. This one is sooooo different, smelling delicious of organic lavender oil and it’s just as effective as a regular sanitiser. I didn’t leave the house without this spray in my pocket since I got it and people often ask me about the lavender bomb.

Dr. Bronner’s Organic Magic Balm Arnica-Menthol

This product is a balm with premium oils (avocado, coconut, jojoba, and olive) perfect for soft skin and massages. The only product I tested which is not vegan because of the organic beeswax it contains. The Magic Balm stimulates the blood flow and is warming and relaxing. I started to use it after my training, and it helps immensely well against muscle ache.

ln case you are looking for a balm you can use as a base for aromatherapy massage you should go for the Magic Balm Baby Mild because it’s perfume free.
