Do you think golden pineapples are holy? I don’t know, but they are gorgeous for sure!

Did I promise you more pineapple looks? Here is another one and it’s even more fruity than the last one. Probably this will be the last crop top I show you this season, before it gets too cold.

I am madly in love with the pineapple fascinator. Sometimes I wear it at home to just sit on the sofa or do the washing up, because wearing it makes me so happy. It’s very Carmen Miranda and I think the colour combination of the golden pineapple and the green headband is perfect. Definitely another favourite from my favourite hatter Pearls & Swine!

During this summer, I gained a lot of self confidence. When spring arrived, I didn’t know if I would ever wear a crop top again, because I was not sure if this trend is still fine for girls no longer in their teens. This is the shortest crop top I bought and I am really happy to wear it. I think we all should be more daring, have fun and don’t care too much about the perfect body magazines show us. Models are old with 25 nowadays, isn’t that ridiculous?

Eat pineapples, eat chocolate cake and wear crop tops or whatever you like to my lovelies and never let somebody teach you something else! Whatever you wear, wear it with confidence and it will look stunning.

How do you like this pineapple dedicated outfit my lovelies?

Thanks a lot to Pearls & Swine for this fascinator. Having a pineapple fascinator was one of my childhood dreams.

Temptress of Waikiki is an amazing new range of headwear for everyday use. The whole range is flower focused and the perfect choice for weddings, tea parties or just to look stunning. There is always the right time to crown yourself with everlasting flowers and every girl looks like a fairylike creature with flowers in her hair.

Does the name Temptress of Waikiki ring a bell in your head? It comes from the movie the Addams Family, where Gomez refers to Debbie as the “Temptress of Waikiki”. Isn’t it a sexy name? – Then hurry and turn yourself into a Temptress of Waikiki too, all you need is one of these headpieces!

I think all regular readers know already about my one and only favourite hatter in the world Pearls & Swine. When I will wear Temptress of Waikiki in the future, it doesn’t mean that I am unfaithful: It’s the second range of Pearls & Swine, featuring easy to wear pieces, while Pearls & Swine is more focused on art headpieces. What the two ranges have both in common is the high quality and workmanship.

I am lusting very much after the pink beauties, but I think my favourite is the blue headdress. The model looks just divine with it and I think so will other girls.

Sitting in a beach chair, having big sun glasses on and drinking a Pina Colada with a lot of coconut cream. This is the scene I imagined, while putting together this outfit mood board – a decadent and quirky look for an opulent and crazy lady.

Don’t you think this crop top and fascinator were made for each other? When I was a child, I used to dress up as a pineapple for parties and carnival. I was working for days on my pineapple hat I made out of a bucket. The fascinator shown here is of course much more beautiful than my childhood hat, but it absolutely awakes the desire of putting a pineapple on top of my head again. This fashion eccentricity is definitely a must in my wardrobe!

From my last outfit post you know that I love the combination of crop top and pencil skirt and I can’t get enough of this trend. I think showing the belly is a little bit too much skin if you don’t plan to go to the beach. Just expose the midriff, this makes the look ready for the city!

So, do you wanna wear a pineapple hat too and drink Pina Colada with me?

Everybody who knows Sweeney Todd, remembers Miss Lovett and her worst pies of London. No worries, I don’t show you bad pies here, but lovely clothing from another Miss Lovett. This is definitely not the worst fashion of Mannheim (Germany). What Miss Lovett designs is a mixture of rock n’roll and cuteness. Everything is handmade with love. The top and skirt I am wearing are from the “A Kiss from Miss Ivi” collection, Miss Lovett’s latest masterstroke. When I opened the parcel, I was excited. The pieces look cue and feminine and are very comfortable to wear. The fit is perfect, even for curvy girls like me.

I love the cute Peter Pan collar of the top and the puffy sleeves. The skirt matches the top perfectly with the red stripe and the same buttons. The colour combination of black and red is one of my favourites and made me fall head over heel for this outfit. I recommend you, to pair outfits like this with a beautiful fascinator, high heels and red lipstick. Probably you can also go for false lashes like I did, to make the look even more dramatic. If you go out for dinner or have a date, it’s just perfect.

I am absolutely convinced by this outfit and already lusting after more pieces from Miss Lovett. You can pay a visit to the shop as well and treat yourself with something. You will find no bad pie in this shop for sure.

Let’s go and get more ice cream!

Once upon a time, there was a melon girl. She loved to eat melon for breakfast, lunch, dinner and between the meals as well. But what she loved even more, was to dress like one. The rule of her life was, that if you feel to dress like a melon, you should just do it. The same rule applies for bananas, apples, and other funny things as well of course.

Dressed colourful she feels strong and like being reborn. It’s like a metamorphosis, when she gets dressed. The mousy caterpillar turns into a butterfly. She might be a little bit eccentric sometimes, but she embraces it instead of denying. When it comes to crazy fashion looks, she rather asks “Why not?”, instead of “Why?”. She loves to have a concept for her looks, best from head to toe. So why not even matching the ice cream to the look? She doesn’t care if you shake your head and enjoys her sweet dessert. Some people might call her look a disguise and fit for carnival, but she objects. There is no such a thing as a costume in her world, every dress is a new way to express some part of her personality and she has so many parts to discover yet. She was not born a bold girl, but she refuses to be something she is not. This is melon girl, this is colourful happiness and yes: This is me, Lovely Sara.

I hope you love this post and feel encouraged to dress up now too. Wish I could see all my pretty readers, I imagine we would make the most amazing rainbow together.

A styling fit for proud queens and daring adventuresses.

Let’s open the velvet curtains and step into a world full of mysteries: Do you believe in fairytale creatures? Do you think there are women with eternal beauty, eyes full of sparkling magic and dangerous powers of seduction? I can’t tell you on which island of the world they exist, but I can reveal another secret: There are clothes and accessories, which make a woman feel and look like a mystical creature and this is almost as good as having special powers. If you wear what you dream of in your wildest dream, it’s a daring adventure and like achieving some glorious mischief. There will be a sparkle in your eyes, which is only seen in the eyes of the bold ones.

I think the models on this pictures have the expression I just described in their eyes. No wonder, if you consider the decadent clothes and wonderful fascinators they wear. The most elaborate boudoir could not beat what Lovechild Boudoir (clothes), Redneck Leeds  (clothes) and Pearls & Swine (headwear) combined for this pictures. The elaborate dresses and the extraordinary fascinators are perfectly matched and styled. There is an atmosphere of secrets and temptation in these pictures. Because I am a big fan of Pearls & Swine, of course I can’t keep my eyes from the fascinators especially. Marie Antoinette would be jealous of this wonderful ship hats, all the feathers and delicate beadings.

I almost hear the rustle of the precious garments, while looking at these pictures and they make me dream of adventures at sea, full of mermaids, giant octopuses and siren songs. Are you under the spell of this pictures too and join the dream?

It’s definitely time for ice cream now! Which is your favourite flavor? I can’t decide, because I love all the pretty pastel colours at the ice cream parlour. This outfit brings all of them together: Baby Pink like strawberry, lemon yellow, berry purple and blue like the mysterious ice cream called “smurfs”. The outfit starts with a cone on the head and ends with one at the heel. Both of this pieces made me shriek out with pleasure when I saw them first. I think the fascinator from Pearls & Swine and the shoes from Karl Lagerfeld from Melissa are perfection. I need both of them in my life for my perfect summer feeling, don’t you agree?

I would love to play a little game and pretend that I work at an ice cream parlour, providing all of you with the most delicious ice cream you ever tasted. I would wear my cone fascinator every day and sell pistachio, vanilla and coconut. An ice cream girl dressed like this would be the attraction of the city for sure!

Don’t you think this outfit is sweeter than any flavour of ice cream?

Last week I visited the beautiful zoo in our city. Besides enclosures for elephants, penguins and tigers, there is an extraordinary Madagascan rainforest hall. You can walk through this little exotic world on small foot paths and see flying foxes as well as cute little monkeys. There are benches to sit under big palm trees, while you hear the sound of a waterfall and exotic birds. The probably best thing about this hall are the always tropical temperatures. Especially when the long anticipated spring still hasn’t arrived yet, it’s the perfect place to go.

The zoo visit inspired me for this post about tropical fashion. Clothes with exotic prints and accessories shaped like jungle plants are coming back nearly every spring or summer and I never get tired of them. There seems to be a desire for the mysterious jungle life with its bright colours and amazing plants in all of us. Dressing like a jungle girl is a wonderful way to cheer up. I especially like the jungle shirt from Fairgound, you can wear it as a dress as well. I think it would look cool either with the necklace from Tatty Devine or the fascinator from Pearls & Swine. Dressed like this, I would forget about the cold weather and wait for my Tarzan to arrive and take me with him to an exotic world.

Do you like jungle inspired fashion too and which of these pieces is your favourite?

It is not always easy to spread fun and colour. Nobody is free of sadness and desperation and there are moments of trouble in every story, as well in mine. There are times, when even Lovely Sara feels gray, week and uninspired. I try to keep this blog free of bad feelings, because this is a place for fashion fun, for happiness and positive feelings. My mission is to make you smile and to help you to never loose your inner rainbow. Today I want to tell you a little trick that cheers me up when I don’t feel happy: In dark moments I sometimes dream of running away and joining the circus. I am no performer, no fire-eater or tightrope dancer and I can’t juggle with balls. This means the chances that I will actually do it are pretty low and to be realistic, I don’t think I belong in a circus. Nevertheless it is a beautiful daydream and thinking about this place full of wonders helps me to find new energy.

Dressing myself in a colourful, whimsical fashion has a similar effect: I believe that colours have a positive effect on our wellbeing. Their power helps to feel better and stronger. Therefore this bright outfit is a huge dose of rainbow medicine. The pompom scarf from Irregular Choice keeps me not just bright, but warm as well and the fluffy fascinator from Pearls & Swine is made to spread happiness. This two items seem to smile at me constantly. They are the eye catchers of the outfit and the lace top from Zara and my vintage skirt don’t steal them the show, but complete the look in a beautiful way.

Inspired by Helena Bonham Carter’s appearance at the Golden Globes 2011, I choose to wear two different shoes (both Vivienne Westwood for Melissa) for this crazy outfit. I still don’t understand why all the newspapers made such a fuzz about Helena’s mismatched shoes. Do journalists have no sense for fun? People out there, don’t take everything too serious! There are enough occasions in life where seriousness is required, but fashion is none of them and is meant to be fun. Just wear whatever you love, don’t be too shy to make your crazy fashion dreams come true and most important: Don’t be afraid of what other people might say! People who don’t like you because you don’t wear black shoes all the time are not the friends you want to have anyway. Don’t dress like a wallflower, if your soul is a bird-of-paradise flower! If you love the circus, make yourself happy with including a little piece of this colourful world in your wardrobe.

Now please tell me, what do you think about my dream of the circus and my outfit.

Pearls and Swine, Valentine's Day 2013, Hat, Fascinator

Do you have special plans for Valentine’s Day? If you do, I’m sure you already started thinking about the perfect outfit. I would recommend a lovely dress in a flattering colour, which shows a little bit of skin but not too much. A beautiful fascinator will complecte your look. I don’t recommend you any dresses today, but give you advise on the best headwear:

My favourite milliner Pearls & Swine made a fabulous Valentine’s Range, which is just beyond perfect, like everything this woman touches. It’s full of delicate flowers and shiny beads, most of it in red or pink, all perfect for a day full of romance in the name of love.

It is very hard for me to decide on a favourite among all this wonderful creations, but I think the hot lip fascinator with the cheeky veil wins my heart. My second favourite is the ice cream fascinator, I can never resist ice cream. The purple butterfly or the light pink rose fascinator are stunning too. No matter which one is your first choice, these beauties will not be an investment only for Valentine’s Day, but make your spring and summer wardrobe complete.

How do you like this collection and which fascinator makes your heart beat faster?
