Keep your belongings in your bag and cherish your dearest memories in your mind!

Sometimes perfectionism keeps me from showing you my most beloved looks: The light is not right, I have a bad hair day, I don’t feel beautiful enough – whatever excuse I can find keeps me from being a good blogger. This outfit waited in my wardrobe for a very long time. I bought it for the baptism of my godchild last autumn, a very special occasion.

Because my little girl is half-Japanese, half-German I wanted to wear something with a hint of Japanese flair. Vivetta seemed the perfect choice and a bag from Korean label Yesimfrench completes my look. Even if I love statement jewellery, for this event I went for less: A baby and big necklaces and chunky rings just don’t go very well together.

I was very nervous at the baptism. As well I wanted to look especially pretty, because the pictures taken at the day might cause how she sees me in the future. Probably they will decide if I am the old crone or the cool auntie in her life…

I am so grateful for taking part in the life of this girl. I loved her from the very first time I saw her, and maybe she will be an accomplice in living a life in pink…

Please don’t forget to tell me how you like this look.

On pictures, nobody feels how chilly a winter dream is in real.
My fake fur and me are a daring lot, out in the cold.
Even the cute ice cream has red cheeks from the cold.
Darling candy earrings for the maximum of cuteness.
Crystals rings from my dear Serena Kuhl in the most awesome colours.
It’s soooooo fluffy! I love the pastel colours of this coat.
There is no such a thing as an overdose of cuteness!
Candy: This is what my dreams are made.
Fluffy monster wishes you a happy day. Stay cosy!

I am such a happy bunny! I won the most amazing fake fur coat on the Lazy Kat blog. I bet with this coat I would be the dream monster of James P. Sullivan from the movie Monsters Inc.. There is already a little funny story to go with it: In the bus a little girl sat next to me and eyed me shyly. Suddenly she took heart and asked me if she might stroke my coat. Hilarious, don’t you agree?

I don’t understand why people tend to dress boring in winter. I often study the outfits of the people while travelling by train. Recently I ended up being the only colourful girl in a crowd of black and grey not just once. This makes me sad. I can’t believe that all those people don’t dream of being more exciting than a dark down jacket.

One of my goals for this year was to have no bad outfit days. I didn’t succeed completely, but I think there was almost no day with just a plain and boring look and no all-black look at all. Let me think about a while about my fashion goals for next year. I want to go further on my journey, and I’m happy you are here. Have a happy Christmas my lovelies, you are the best followers I could imagine!

What do you think about this look lovelies?

I am happy I managed to present you an outfit post this week. Last week I had so much work to do for my daytime job, I rarely had the time to think about my beloved blog. Sometimes I wish I was an octopus and had eight arms to do more things at the same time (and to wear more rings and bangles at the same time 😉 ).

I was among pretty models most of the time, which didn’t inspire me to take pictures of myself. I envied them for their pretty faces, their endless legs and their ingenious posing. Gosh, I tell you, sometimes I feel so clumsy while I try to do my pictures and I wish I could just style the outfits, but stay hidden as a person. Does that sound strange coming from a blogger? Well, if you didn’t know yet I tell you: Not all bloggers are exhibitionists.

The only thing keeping me from hiding in bed was, that my cat jumper is just too cute to keep it from you. When I discovered out how well it goes together with those knee socks, my motivation to jump in front of a camera immediately returned.

My true ambition behind blogging: It’s not about me, not about showing you my face, but about the fashion finds that makes me jump from excitement. So let’s keep going and discover more amazing things together! Stay pink and happy  <3

How do you like this look my lovelies?

No Decisions: Just have all colours on your shoes, yay!

Ha, I discovered a few rays of sunshine! Time for sandals, flower prints and a crop top with long sleeves (to make sure nobody thinks I’m in the wrong season).

I think crop tops are here to stay. The whole bare midriff thing started as a trend, but it’s just coming back season after season, and I couldn’t be more happy. I love how they look combined with a skirt, for a look without a frozen belly try a high-waisted one. My kidneys prefer my crop top love that way too, but I wish I were not such a sissy when it came to cold.

When it gets colder, you will see me sneaking from one heated room to another heated room, I’m just no outside gal, no sir! I wish I could wear sandals the whole year and don’t like to look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer whenever I go out.

Once I met an African woman when my skin was very pink from the cold. She looked at me and just said “White people have many, many colours.” I still smile when I think about this, and it’s so true. Thankfully, the sun is merciful today and the only thing very, very pink is my hair. The only reason I could ever turn into a winter girl would be if my bob turned as pink as my nose in the cold. Oh my gosh, my living room wouldn’t see me again!

I hope you’re having a sunny day as well, and I’m curious to hear how you like this look.

Bleach London Rose, Jazzafine, Flamingo Fascinator
Pink Dreams: Loving every detail of this fascinator. It’s just perfection!

Rome wasn’t built in a day, this counts for this look as well. Ladies, you are finally welcome to see the look that took the longest time to be presented in the story of this blog. Every detail of the look, from shoes to accessories, was already set crystal clear in my mind for weeks, but almost like a conspiracy something seemed to prevent me from making it happen. The most annoying part of the story was, when the fascinator got lost in the post, somewhere between Germany and Switzerland. Oh, how I glared at the post man like a murder doll…

But finally the pictures are shot, the outfit looks as I imagined. Sometimes my outfit posts make me jump from my chair with joy because I think I created something I didn’t manage before. More harmony, more edginess, a colour combination better than a rainbow… But usually it doesn’t last long. It’s a big hunger inside me; the demanding desire to create new looks. I wonder where it comes from: Why do I need more flamingos in my life, why can’t I just be happy with ten skirts in my wardrobe instead of being the biggest supporter of pollution and carrying bag after bag of new stuff home? Why?

I seriously don’t know. I just love you; big monster called fashion. I love to be the most ridiculous girl in the eyes of people who wouldn’t dare to wear red shoes. So I keep on going on my highest heels. Today, this is my perfect look, but wait: Can I beat it with the next? I hope so, and I try. It’s already in my head…

Sending you a lot of flamingo love till then. I am very happy if you tell me how you like this look.

Probably the only moment in life when everything is blank is the second after birth. In this single instant, everything is open and possible. Later on, you start realizing that you have to make millions of decisions, every minute, every second. A lot of them are very simple ones – like where do you want to have lunch or if you prefer the cinema or the art museum.

Sometimes even those decisions have unexpected side effects: Taking the tube instead of the bus could lead into meeting an amazing person that will change your life. Who are you, who am I, but a mishmash of millions of decisions? Thinking about all this data you have to deal with, the human brain appears as a super computer, doesn’t it?

People are born into a specific culture and with their very own unique skills. Knowing what we can’t and can sometimes provide the feeling of just following the path of what was given to us. I say this is just one page of the story. You are your very own artist, constantly choosing colours and painting your life story.

Decisions close doors and open new ones. Don’t underestimate them, not even the apparently simple ones. I choose to wear my pastel kimono today; this might change your opinion about me. Maybe you are here for the very first time, and your impression about me has been made according to this look. I believe that my day could have turned out differently with another outfit. Maybe not significant, but just a little.

I wonder what adventures the kimono will bring me today.
My decision of the day: I don’t say no to any colour, but just wear them all.

Pompoms Forever: Even better if they are baby pink and worn with towering platforms.

I don’t care if anybody thinks I’m wearing my pyjama out today. My blogger friend Jessica-Chelsey recently posted a shirt dress look too and said that she feels like Homer Simpson in his moo moo. I constantly think about this while wearing this look, laughing inside.

It’s a relief to wear something with no need to suck in one’s stomach. No reason to worry about the big piece of chocolate pie who is suddenly no longer on the plate but in your stomach (Argh: I am the big destroyer of chocolate, no matter if mousse, or bar, nothing is safe from me). Today’s look screams out loud: I feel good, I’m comfy and I just don’t care about whatever bad you might say about me.

I grew up in a very little village with more cows than residents and back at school there were nasty boys, shouting after me how ugly I am. There was a time when I listened to them and escaped to a world of fantasy books. I spent days dreaming of being a fair storybook princess, wondering why this wasn’t me. For a while I was so embarrassed about myself, I dressed as to make myself as invisible as possible.

I am not born a pretty supermodel, and I can never turn into one like millions of other women. But it’s ok, because this can’t stop a girl with attitude: This is your armor, wear it proud and let it shine in the light like an impenetrable shield. The most beautiful woman is not essentially the most stylish woman and certainly not the most lovely one. Be whatever you are, just be the best one you can be!

Life is just too short to hide, so no invisible looks ever again.

I love Friday Favourites posts on other blogs and always wanted to do something like this for you as well. What kept me back was the fear that I could not manage to publish a post like this on a regular basis every Friday. But today I’m finally brave enough to try. I can’t promise a post like this once a week, but maybe every second or third Friday if you like it.

Today I show you what I discovered while browsing the shops, in the future I might include pictures from blogs I love. I am still so lost in a sea of pink and cuteness. I can’t imagine arising and leaving candy floss land. There is just no end to desiring more bows, more tassels and more hearts in my flamingo crazy heart. I just wish I could turn the sky pink for a day.

I hope your Friday is lovely, I’m enjoying a happy bank holiday, yay! 😀
Sending you lots of love.

Sporty Look + Casual Attitude = Perfect Day!

There is so much sporting activities inspiration in fashion at the moment and even I – the probably least sporty person on earth – got a little bit infected. Now, I definitely won’t buy myself a pink jogging dress and restyle the look of Vicky Pollard from Little Britain, but I have my first ever tracksuit top now.

The print totally convinced me and won my heart. It’s part of the Adidas Originals x The Farm collection, a brilliant stroke from the label. All pieces designed by the Brazilian label are full of colourful, happy tropical prints. I love to combine my tracksuit with pieces that are not sporty at all, like you can see in this post. The jacket is too pretty for exercise anyway and deserves to be shown in the city. Wearing towering high heels instead of sneakers completes the look and brings it to a level far away from the playing field.

A few years ago, a look like this would have been on top of my Don’t list, but somehow this changed and now the time is just right. I don’t feel the need to be chic and feminine all the time, but love the “I don’t care” and easy dressing attitude. Adidas Originals, if you continue like this, I will have to make more space in my wardrobe!

Did you ever expect a look like this from me and what do you think about sports influence in fashion?

I’ve been back for almost a month and still feeling the after-London-blues so much. I just wanna run to the airport in my highest heels and board the first plane to my beloved island. How could I leave the place where all the fun is happening? Missing the creativity, the open-mindedness and excitement.

With this shooting, I tried to capture a little bit of London-spirit: I was looking for the hugest graffitis I could find, reminding me a little bit of my favourite places in east London. Besides, nearly everything I wear comes from the UK. Especially for Lazy Oaf, the brand of my crop top and skirt, my love is never-ending. Sometimes I suspect their designer Gemma must be a secret spy in my fashion dreams, making one after one coming true.

If you were a green alien with blinking antennas on your head you wouldn’t attract more attention than going out dressed like this over here. Not all the feedback is positive, but guess what: I don’t care. I agree with them  – Yes I am weird, so what’s the point? It’s even written on my chest in Barbie-style letters, no big news. Why is being weird something negative, can’t you just see it as the opposite of being ordinary and boring? Next London flight already booked. Say hello to new inspiration for how to be weird and awesome!
What do you think about this look and do you have outfits that help you over bag things like homesickness?
