British designer Joanna Pybus is back and she brings ice cream with her, loads of ice cream. Joanna’s SS14 collection is all in pastel sorbet colours, simple but flattering shapes and and she continues her tradition to make at least one new print for every collection. This season’s called the “Ice Cream Time”print.

Joanna’s work is fashion made to cause happiness! She recently said in an interview, that her aim is to make fashion that speaks to the people on a personal level and I think that’s just what she achieves. Her creations are a fresh and quirky breeze in a gray world and if you own a piece you want to treasure it like a beloved pet.

Joanna continues her iconic range of furry monster clutches as well and added a few new styles, especially eye-catching among them the rainbow coloured one called Aurora (picture no. 3). If you are looking for something unique, you should have a look straight away at Joanna’s page and get something all handmade by this amazing woman.

What are you waiting for, it’s time to go to the ice parlour!

This is something I waited for very long: The Winter Wonders Collection from Dazzle & Jolt. Their last collection Geometric Jungle caused a crush on animal prints, now the exciting British label comes back with new amazing prints and goes one step further on their mission to colour the world.

The Winter Wonders Collection takes us to a mystical forest and its residents, such as cunning foxes, wise owls and divine unicorns. The prints look like from a very colourful, comic version of a Tolkien book. Especially the unicorn seems to run right through the forest of Lothlorien.

The illustrations have a nearly kaleidoscopic effect, as a consumption of the geometric prints they designed before. For the first time their work displays all-over prints, which makes the pieces even more exciting. The whole collection is designed and printed in the UK.

The label Dazzle & Jolt was founded by the two friends Zara Saleem and Jessica Holt in a North London flat with a fat cat named Jarvis. It seems just right that finally the feline co-founder becomes the star of its very own iconic jumper. Definitely a must have!

Which one is your favourite design?

The playfulness of the handbag is inspiring me.

Imagine this stone came from a planet far, far away, where the whole surface is blue and shiny.

Sweet, sweet confusion! Today I am tricking your eyes with a psychodelic all over print and a handbag that is almost too good to be true. This outfit is a declaration of love to Asian fashion: The dress comes from Thailand/London based label Lalalove (Yes, I couldn’t resist to buy it after I told you about it) and the bag from Taiwanese label JumpFromPaper. I love the creativity and playful quirkiness Asian designers often display in their work. If I find a new label from this part of the world that satisfies my urge to be a walking rainbow, I always get very excited and feel like a little fashion explorer.

JumpFromPaper wasn’t actually found by me, but rather I was found by them. When they contacted me, I couldn’t believe I didn’t hear about them before, because my style is literally made to fit these bags. I already wrote a post about the label here if you are interested to learn more about them.
When my very own JumpFromPaper bag arrived, I instantly felt that we were gonna be very close friends. The quality of the bag is excellent and it’s super flat. There is a zipper at the bottom of the bag and when it’s open the bag gets a lot more roomy. Enough space for the things I carry around in my everyday routine is provided.
The bag gets a lot of looks and compliments. Isn’t it a wonderful achievement for a bag to make people smile? This makes my flamingo heart beat faster for sure.
What do you think about this outfit and are you amazed by Asian labels too?
