Oh CeliaB, you did it again! This Spanish designer owns my heart for making bold and life-affirmative designs. Every one of her collections is a firework of vibrancy, fun, and careful craftsmanship.

CeliaB’s newest collection “Latin Lover” is a collaboration with Argentinian artist and illustrator María Luque. The two women met during Celia’s trip to Argentina, and the result of the encounter are beautiful prints exclusively for “Latin Lover.”

This collection is an ode to Latin American culture and in particular the Andean region art. While Celia’s designs have a strong Asian influence, the prints enhance them, so the two cultures build together a bridge between continents. The clothes come in CeliaB’s habitual silhouettes, volumes, ruffles, and details, all expressing her Latin origins.

What I love most about this collection is the strong expression of playfulness, an important part of CeliaB’s work. The commitment to sustainability of the label fits very well my philosophy and what I believe fashion should be nowadays. Whenever I wear Celia B I feel strong and powerful, just like a modern Amazon. So here I am, dreaming of jaguars, dancing Latinas and autumn in Argentina. CeliaB, thank you for fulfilling my need for more colours, that’s just what the world needs!

„Where are the looks of Sara?“ you might have asked looking at post after post without my face appearing. I tried and tried to edit pictures from shoots again, but had severe difficulties to focus and escaped into a world of product pictures.

I am blogging for five years now and never before I felt so tired of looking at myself on pictures. While I don‘t consider myself as a very vain person but happened to become a blogger only for the love of fashion, it was always clear that my looks and I are inseparable connected. After all this is a personal style blog.

But when I had a look at the last looks we shot, I just wished it wasn‘t me wearing those beautiful styles. A rather strange and uncomfortable situation for a personal style blogger.

What got me out of my moody dilemma was this look. I loved to wear the devil top so much and wanted to capture a new wild side of me in the pictures. No more effort to look good, no more worrying about not having the longest legs or an angel face, this time, I played the fashion demon obsessed doll. I danced, screamed and let my pink hair fly through the air. Can you feel the energy in the pictures?

I suddenly felt very free and relieved from the pressure of being more perfect than I am. Thank you silky devil, for awaking a new me. Now I can be brave again and face the pile of pictures on my desk.

“Are you ready for festival season?”, all fashion magazines and newsletters want to know as the evenings get slowly lighter. “Shut up” I hiss as an answer and feel the instant urge to turn my head.

I never went to a festival in my whole life. I avoid huge crowds of people on limited space, and (while I like music covers) I certainly don’t like to get covered in mud. I don’t like camping. Or rain. Or people acting silly while being drunk. And no, the fact that I am a music lover can’t make up for the disadvantages of festivals at all.

But well, have a look at my outfit: If I would wear wellies instead of flamingo heels, I’d be so so ready for the most colourful festival of the season. But maybe exactly this is the root why I don’t need festivals: I allow myself the liberty to dress up on a regular day. I don’t need an excuse to put on a flower crown and be a vision with rainbow pom poms and bright prints. Wearing an outfit like this makes me feel festive no matter if it’s Monday, Tuesday or any other day. It’s like having an unbirthday party, every day (including your birthday).

Glastonbury and Coachella we will never meet, I am (not) sorry. While Alexa Chung and Kate Moss get covered in mud, people will catch me humming a summer tune while I’m taking a stroll in my neighbourhood. That’s how I roll.

Somebody said you should be yourself unless you can be a piñata, then you should always be a piñata. I spent hours and hours trying to grow a mane, but nothing happened. Then I decided just to be myself: A rainbow girl. And look what happened: I am so proud of this look because it’s more me than anything else I ever showed you. I look at the pictures and see the woman I’d like to be, what a feeling!

I am so into mixing prints and this playful skirt from Shanghai-based label Celia B is just everything I’ve been waiting for. It’s like a dream to be wearing something from this amazing designer after admiring her things on pictures for a long time. Those clothes make me feel bold. They seem to tell me that it’s ok to dress as quirky as I want and that there is no reason to adapt to the people on the street who most look all the same to me.

This look is just a firework of dream pieces. Just look at my rainbow piñata bag! I never dreamed of owning this Charlotte Olympia bag, but thanks to my crazy boyfriend it’s mine. I love its happy face and sometimes if I don’t feel very good, I just open the pretty box it came with. The delightful piñata smile cheers me up even more than chocolate.

I wish you a lovely next week. I have another piece from Celia B ready to shoot, and I can’t wait to show you soon…

I am the Scrooge McDuck of fashion. While Uncle Scrooge takes a bath in money, I feel the happiest diving into my wardrobe and hoard my textile treasures. Some not fashion people might say this is a waste of money. I disagree because it makes me so very happy. When Uncle Scrooge counts money, I count sequins. And I feel the dramatic need for more, constantly! Life is too short to spend it with cold metal, so I exchange it for soft fabrics.
But let me tell you another thing, like every coin has two sides, so do I: Sometimes even I feel an overdose of consumption and I am not all material girl. I take responsibility for our environment, think about what it means to have the things produced that I wear and buy a lot from small designers instead of big chains. I don’t want to waste resources and just buy what I cherish. A completely new look very often doesn’t need everything new, but just one key piece.
This is what I prove with this look. Everything in this look has already been in my wardrobe. Just the top is new: Sara Di Salvo’s (Hot Couture) mirror print shirt is a true game changer. Aren’t the sequin sleeves divine? They look like pure gold when all the sequins face the same direction. As soon as I discovered they were silver on the other side, I had to play with them. The disarranged structure I gave them for the pictures made me think of a very casual attempt on Alexander McQueen and his designs inspired by mysterious undersea creatures. Do you agree so, dear Uncle Scrooge?
I am very curious to hear your opinion about this look.

First outfit post after my London trip and I’m wearing a lot of things I bought there. Like every time, I felt so heartbroken after I had to leave my beloved city. I miss my godchild, my girls and all the inspiration and excitement that is in the air of London. The fact that I caught the flu just when we had to travel didn’t brighten up my mood. I spent the first days in Switzerland in bed with a fever. What a welcome!

I am happy I finally feel well enough to show you a few of my new finds finally. There was no way for me around the lightening shoes, not even hearing about their bad quality could stop me. I hope my lights will not go out… It’s quite strange for me to not wear heels because as a rather short girl I love the little bit of extra height they give me. Well, at least there is one heel in today’s outfit: On my bag! Isn’t it cute? It’s made by my designer friends Azumi & David. I love how they combine classic design with a touch of quirk. Besides it’s always best to shop from lovely designers, and they are just one of the most adorable couples I know.

The skirt I’m wearing is from British label Textile Federation. I think I might turn into a collector of their stuff because I am obsessed with their prints. When I saw their pieces first, I was surprised how affordable they are while they look like expensive designer stuff. Later I read that they are not just a studio, but a hub for the best print design talents from all over the world. On their platform, people can showcase print design, and the winning submissions are realised. So every one of their prints is a winner. I couldn’t resist buying a second piece from them which I’ll show you later. I hope you are already curious which one it will be…

I’ve never been to Australia, but I love the fashion from this country! When I found Melbourne based label Tilly Me, I was convinced again that the Aussies just know how to make fashion colourful, bright and exciting!

Tilly Me is the label by Tilly Michelle, a Melbourne based style icon fond of Harajuku fashion and the 80s and 90s. She creates bold street wear for women and men, featuring kawaii illustrations and cool geometric prints. The distinctive prints are illustrated by Tilly herself and all items are made in Melbourne. As I already have a jumper from Tilly Me, I can truly say that the quality of the hand screen printed fabric is amazing and worth every penny.

Because it’s summer in beautiful Australia now, they just released a few breathtaking pieces for the warmer days. No matter how much snow there is over here, I can’t stop thinking about the quirky beauty queen, dinosaur and cat prints. I bet they would look rad with thick tights and winter boots as well. Winter you can’t stop us girls go crazy for Tilly Me!

Show me your back: The best looks are lovely no matter from what angle you look at them.

Do you know that feeling when you put on a very special piece, and you just feel very beautiful immediately – closest to the feeling of being a goddess you ever get? While I don’t consider myself as more than average looking, this is what happened when I dressed for this look. The headdress is magic made by the talented hands of my beloved Pearls & Swine, and I fell head over heels for this kimono from Quiz Clothing.

I am playing with the tassels and love how they move in the wind. For once I am even wearing a black dress, do you see? But it wouldn’t be me if I wouldn’t have mixed it with a lot of colours and quirky accessories.

On days you don’t feel good at all, it’s a magical weapon to put on an outfit like this. It might change your day. It also inspired me to the spontaneous act of dying my hair lilac. I love the colour; the only disadvantage is that it turns rather blue when it fades. Because of this I’m going to return to my beloved pink very soon, but for today’s look the lilac was the final touch to add a mystical note to the look.

Just when we started to wonder if there wouldn’t be a new Dazzle & Jolt collection, they come back not just with a bang, but the greatest show on earth. The circus is in town and what a great one it is: Banging colours, roaring lions and all the popcorn you can imagine in your wildest dreams.

While they started with designing t-shirts, there is an exciting premiere happening: Now you can wear Dazzle & Jolt all over prints from head to toe. Their new mini skirt and leggings are just the eye-popping things missing in our lives!

Isabella Blow was known to order whole fashion collections, I consider starting the same, because I can’t decide on a favourite. Dazzle & Jolt doesn’t just do fabulous fashion, but the two girls behind the label are as well the sweetest things on earth you can imagine. I think we should hurry and empty their stock as fast as we can.

Come on, clear the ring, don’t buy mainstream, Dazzle & Jolt is far, far cooler!

Shop the collection here and don’t forget to like Dazzle & Jolt on Facebook.

What a fake nurse I am: I don’t even try to hide my colourful accessories.

Plastic is fantastic! That’s why I wear it from head to toe.

“Pardon miss, you do have toothpaste in your face.” “Oh really? Lucky me!” This conversation didn’t happen yet, but I am just waiting for it to come up since i got my new comical sunglasses from artist duo Craig & Karl. I love their illustrations and as well their collection of sunnies for Le Specs. I just see no point in buying ordinary sunglasses, but I crave for the weird, the eye-catching, the head-turning. The ordinary just bores me and makes me tired. Susie Bubble has been spotted wearing another model from the Craig & Karl collection and I am sure she would agree with me.

I recently came to love including white in my outfits. I think with my plastic coat I look a little like a not serious nurse from a trash movie. I even have to think about Daryl Hannah in Kill Bill wearing her white trench coat. She is just genius and I love her in that role. No, I am not whistling that particularly song, I bet you know which one… Instead of a stethoscope and injections, I’m bringing you cute Barbie accessories. I bet you prefer this to nasty needles.

There is a lovely story behind my tee as well: From now on I can proudly declare that the last unicorn is mine. Ok, to be honest it was the second last one, but that’s just a detail. When Jessica – my friend and designer of Dazzle & Jolt – told me that they almost sold all of them, I was faster than any horse in gallop and had to get it. I can resist many things, but I am certainly helpless against unicorns and flamingos. They are just invading my life with more success than any alien mission could ever have. Welcome strangers, fill my life with pink feathers and sparkles!

How do you like this look and what animal can you not resist?
