Sara is in Love with… giveaway Christmas moon boot

Time for my last Christmas giveaway and I kept my favourite until the final: Get ready for sparkling shoes!

During wintertime, it’s difficult to choose the right shoes: Wearing heels is almost life-endangering on the slippery streets. In most pretty shoes you either end up having frozen or wet feet or even more likely both at the same time. Real winter boots are so stylish you can only look at them when you hide them under a pile of snow (I hope you get my ironic humour).

Therefore I bravely went on an almost impossible search: I was looking everywhere for a pair of winter boots that look cute but keep the feet cosy. The victory was mine when I found those glitter Moon Boots at Zalando.

Don’t say I don’t treat you well: I didn’t just get a pair for myself, but another one for you, in size EU 38/UK 5. You can win the sparkling golden darlings and have warm golden feet this winter

How to win
Leave a comment here or participate on my Instagram. If you do both you get two entries. Don’t forget to mention your email if you comment here. I’ll contact you if you are the winner. The giveaway is open internationally and ends on the 5th of January. Good luck!

Street art brought the art to our daily lives when it was a privilege of the rich to be surrounded by art pieces. Now it‘s the time for art to be involved in your life even closer: Stop wearing shoes, start wearing art! BucketFeet makes this possible.

The US footwear label works together with a network of over 20 0000 artists from all over the world to bring you the most unique and different sneakers you‘ll ever wear. Everybody can send in designs, but BucketFeet makes sure, just the most extraordinary are produced as comfortable sneakers to fulfill their mission to connect people through art. Every pair of shoes tells an artists story and is made in limited quantities for affordable prices.

Because BucketFeet is very excited to be available in Switzerland in selected Shops like Ochsner Shoes and Ochsner Shops from now on, you have the opportunity to win your pair of artsy shoes here. You have the choice between my three favourite designs, all seen in this post. Just follow the instructions of the Rafflecopter below.

Shoes in this post:
Flamingo Shoes: Flamingo by Lindsay Cowcher (United Kingdom)
Shoes with Faces: The Duo by Andrea Silvestri (Honduras)
Rose Print Shoes: Geometric Roses by Ignatevia Irina (Russia)

The giveaway is open to residents of Switzerland and will end on the 25th of September 2016. You don‘t live in Switzerland? Don‘t worry; there is another BucketFeet giveaway on my Instagram @saraisinlovewith starting next week. Just keep your eyes open.

If you haven’t heard about the Galeria Melissa in London – Melissa’s first flagship store in Europe – it’s time to change that and go there right away: Until the 15th of June, Jeremy Scott is hosting a unique Pop-Art themed exhibition called “Inflatable Dreams”. If you love shoes and art, this will be your ultimate heaven.

LED screens transform the Galeria Melissa entrance into a blue water world and let the visitors dive into the summery pool world of Jeremy Scott instantly. Giant inflatables such as cute teddy bears and hearts welcome you to this fun place.

But the best thing awaits you if you follow the stairs down: A swimming pool full of blue and aquamarine plastic balls with a slide to give you the opportunity to dive in and fulfill your childhood dreams. Nobody can accuse you of being childish here, after all, it’s art 😉

After enjoying yourself in this pool, it’s hard to resist a pair of colourful jelly shoes with bubble gum scent as a souvenir from your Melissa holidays. The selection of Melissa shoes in the Galeria is breathtaking and of course, they have the whole inflatable shoe collection from Jeremy Scott, most models coming with the signature air nozzle. You will leave happily with a bag full of plastic dreams.

Thank you very much for the fun we had in the swimming pool Jeremy Scott, we will remember whenever we wear our new shiny shoes!

Let me tell you about the bold, handmade shoes and bags by Sara Melissa Designs (SMD). Sara’s outstanding designs come with sass and lasting quality, made to make women feel classy and sassy at the same time. Wear them for going out, for weddings or just for a style boost of your daily looks.

The philosophy of Yin and Yang is an important inspiration for Sara’s work. The observation of how differences set us apart and bring us together in life and the celebration of diversity is closely connected to her designs. She plays visually with these concepts. Isn’t it exciting to have a pair of shoes which obviously belong together but each shoe is individual?

After studying at San Francisco Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and the University of Arts London, Sara released her first collection of shoes at the beginning of 2015. Originally from Nicaragua, the San Francisco-based designer wants her work to be more than fashion.

This is why 5% of each purchase are donated to the non-profit organisation of LA F.E.M, an organisation Sara is personally connected to. LA F.E.M. focuses on the education and individual empowerment of rural woman and those who have suffered abuse.

I met Sara last week in London and had the opportunity to see and try on the shoes in real. The attention to detail is amazing and if the designer hands over a pair of her creations, it’s obvious with how much love and passion she designs. Made with love is not just a pretty slogan for her label, but the soul of her brand.

Yay, my next London shopping trip is coming closer. This means meeting all my beloved friends, eating at my favourite restaurants and of course MASSIVE shopping. I am well prepared and already have a few things on my wish list:

Suki Waterhouse x Superga Pink Heart Platform Shoes: The perfect shoes for a city trip…
Tatty Devine Carousel Horse Necklace: No London trip without Tatty and this is so dreamy!
Topshop 3D Curve Mascara: I think Topshop has extraordinary Mascara, so time to rebuy!
Irregular Choice Flamingo Bag: My heart will just break if I don’t return with this…
Bleach London Rosé Shampoo: My secret to keep my pink hair colour for longer.
Tatty Devine Umbrella Earrings: Some say it’s always raining in London.
Topshop x Glow Trance Light Up Trainers: I always dreamed of flashing lights on my feet.
Lazy Oaf Fluffy Pink Bomber Jacket: Looks like made of candy floss and like a must-have!

What couldn’t you leave on the shelf from my wish list and what are your favourite shops or places in London?

Rainbow Sandals – Baby Pink Sandals
Toy Food Heel Sandals – Blue Metallic Sandals
Baby Pink Sandals – Metallic Pink Sandals
Baby Blue Sandals – Hot Pink Sandals

Chunky Sandals – the nightmare of most girls during the nineties – are back! This time they come with cool platform heels. Their look is truly edgy, incredibly comfortable without missing the effect of giving you a little bit of extra height. Ugly shoes are the new beauties and really need to find a place in your shoe cabinet!

The Birkenstock sandals are back as well, but I still can’t warm up my heart for them (Sorry mum, I know you love to wear them as house shoes. Maybe you are just more trendy than I am…). Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been spotted already giving in to 90s nostalgia and wearing Birkenstocks and they drop into all the cool shops right now. I would strongly recommend to not go for them, but for a pair of platform heeled styles. I think they have a more modern touch. But never forget: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I already own several pairs of heeled Juju sandals (the baby blue one on the left) and can confirm that they are the best shoes in the world and I don’t go on a city trip without them.
What do you think about chunky sandals and did you fall in love with a pair from my selection?

Everything comes with a big touch of retro style and you feel a love for the pretty things in life in every single piece.

I bet if you wear the accessories from Moskitas Muertas, all the boys will buy you the biggest pink candy floss for sure…

Do you already have that feeling that spring is close as well? It’s like a tickling in my fingers, this feeling of new things coming and the birth of change. Spring is the perfect time to get rid of unwanted things and habits! Time to sort out old things and feel as light as a bird in the sky afterwards.

My life seems to change fast at the moment. I don’t know where it leads me, but I know there are exciting things to come. The approaching spring is just the boost of energy needed to face the future and open the next page of the book called “Lovely Sara’s Adventures”.

After a proper spring-clean, it’s definitely time to treat yourself with a reward! What better reward is there than something thrilling in your wardrobe? The days of moody winter are numbered, time to colour yourself, colour the world!

What from my list do you like best and would you love to see in my future outfit posts?

Pom Pom shoe: Irregular Choice,  Black Boot with Triangle Cutout Heel: Jennifer Chou,
Shoe with Roses: Chinese Laundry, Purple Platform shoes: Black Milk, Jelly Pumps with Hearts: Mel by Melissa, Glitter Heel Shoe: Jeffrey Campbell
I didn’t miss that winter has arrived, but let me tell you something: I think buying (proper) winter shoes is not much fun. Most of the times the shoes you can wear on icy streets are heavy, big and look not like much fun. Therefore I rather have my eyes on pretty high heels. Spending money on beauties like those, makes me happy and this is reason enough to say the money is well invested.
Here I show you my personal selection of shoes I am in love with at the moment. All of them have something very special: They are either decorated in a cool way, have a special heel or a cool fabric.
I think the Jeffery Campbell boot with the transparent heel filled with glitter, would be the perfect shoe for the festive season. It must look beautiful when the glitter sparkles and moves while walking. Almost like a snow globe. The Mel by Melissa shoe with the hearts is already a classic since the peep toe version from Vivienne Westwood for Melissa and I think it can’t be missed on the shoe shelf. But I wouldn’t mind at all having them all.

What do you think about these shoes, which would you love to wear?
Miss Lovett, Glitter shoes, Candy Colours, Melissa
Red Lips Shoes: Vivienne Westwood x Melissa, Round Sunnies: Romwe, Crystal Ring: Nasty Gal,
Marshmallow Skirt: Topshop, Lightening Bolt Bag: Paul’s Boutique,
Flower Print Top: Lashes of London, Flamingo Phone Case: Etsy, Bow Top: Miss Lovett,
Glitter Shoes: Minna Parikka, Cat Face Bag: Sugar + Style

This is a selection of the items I like best in the online shops at the moment. A lot of prints, pastels and cute details included to spread fun.
I will ignore the darker autumn colours that are sneaking into the shops as long as possible. Down jackets? Nobody needs them, as long as there are light girly things spreading fun instead.
I definitely need the flower print top with the cute metallic bows and the Melissa heels. I think the lightning bolt bag is a winner too. I have a lot of fancy bags, but just a few bags for everyday use. This one could be the solution. I really have to restrain myself, not to order everything and I just hold back because I want to leave some pretty things for you.
What do you think, which of this items can’t be missing in the perfect wardrobe?
