The Easter weekend is approaching with big, fast steps. Are you looking forward to a few days with your friends, family and chocolate? I can’t wait to have a little bit of time to relax and see some of the most lovely people I know. The weather seems to get a little bit better, at least there is a hint of sun already today and I can’t spot snow anymore. Maybe it will be possible to hide the Easter gifts outside.

This is the outfit, I would love to wear, for a chocolate bunny hunt in the garden. Aren’t the shoes from Irregular Choice  unlike any other shoes in your wardrobe? My heart is melting while seeing so much cuteness. The dress from Romwe matches them perfect, it’s sweet and romantic with the beautiful lace and flower print. The trim socks bring even more attention to the shoes and the gloves complement the print of the dress.  If there is something to celebrate, buntings can’t be missed of course. In my outfit, they are in the form of a beautiful perspex necklace from Tatty Devine. If Easter turns out as sunny as we all hope, the heart shaped glasses are the perfect choice, to complete the look.

I wish you a happy Easter, a lot of chocolate and I do hope you like my Easter outfit.

Already eaten your five a day? This fruits here don’t count, but they look just as juicy as real fruits. Which girl wouldn’t skip dessert for a few weeks, to get her hands on one of those beauties instead? These are the latest fruit shoes and you have the choice between strawberry, apple, melon or pineapple. All of them cause an immediate summer feeling, no matter what the weather forecast says.

My dream shoes are the melon high heels from Office. I eat berries and bananas most of the time, but in fashion the melon is my absolute favourite fruit. The design of this shoes reminds me a little bit of Charlotte Olympia. I wish I had them in my shoe collection and imagine how beautiful they would look with all my summer dresses. Who needs Cinderella shoes, if you can be Melon-ella instead? Please my dear prince, you don’t have to bring diamonds, bring fruit shoes instead!
Which one of these shoes is your favourite and do you already have fruit shoes?

I have already packed my bag. See you in rainbow land!

When it comes to art, Jeff Koons is one of the first artists I mention when asked about my favorites. His work is a dance on the border between cult and kitsch to me, there is humour in it and every artwork of his seems to twinkle with one eye. Koons’ art makes me happy, like a bright outfit does. Most of my other favourite artists, create dark, disturbing or surreal work and I think this has nothing to do with my taste in fashion (expect if I am in the gothic mood, which happens every now and then). Koons’ work on the other hand, walks hand in hand with all the other things I love in life, especially my taste of fashion: It’s like a dream from a world full of rainbows.

Do you remember my Art Inspires Fashion post about Jeff Koons? I wanted to wear the outfit since I posted it and couldn’t get it out of my mind. Now the moment is here and I can finally present you me wearing the Jeff Koon’s inspired outfit. It is not exactly the proposal from that post, but a little bit a changed version.  The multi sequin skirt from Asos, the Kate Rohde bangle and the Maison Martin Margiela for HM handbag, follow exactly the inspiration post. I combine them with similar pieces as proposed from my existing wardrobe. There is even a big improvement to the inspiration post: After posting it,  Pearls & Swine created this wonderful fascinator, which reminded me of Koons’ shiny tulip sculptures at first sight.

The fascinator is the key piece of the outfit, together with the handbag. The Maison Martin Margiela for HM bag fits very well, because Koons often reproduces everyday’s objects in oversized versions. This giant candy wrap follows a similar idea. The difference between it and a Koons artwork is, that I can use it to carry around my stuff, while Koons’ colossal sculptures are released from a practical use and wait for admiration only.

I just have to say something too about the Kate Rohde bangle: It’s a magical thing and I wear it like a talisman. I can watch again and again how it looks when the sun shines on it. It’s the most amazing bangle I ever had, it looks like it was made in a crystal wonderland, where Koons’ balloon dogs chase each other playing hide and seek. All in all, this outfit is the most colourful one, I showed you for a while and I think all the strong colours have a lot of positive energy. I hope you feel it too and it makes you smile.

So now I want to hear from you: How do you like this look?

My Outfit:

Since seeing the perspex heeled shoes from the Maison Martin Margiela Collection for H&M, I couldn’t stop thinking about them. I admired the pretty, transparent heel very much, but wished they were more playful and in a bright colour. After a little bit of research, I am happy to present you a choice of shoes with this desirable kind of heel from other labels and exactly to my taste. Lovely candy colours and vibrant pink and red make them true eye catchers for warmer days. The heels are either in one colour, with a colour gradient or even with a little pattern. Imagine how beautiful the heels will look, when the sun shines on them…

I can’t decide which shoes are my favourite yet, but I tend to like the ones from Irregular Choice with the purple heels and the attached flowers (bottom right corner) a lot. They are the most fancy ones.

So what are you waiting for? Prepare yourself for spring and brighten up your shoe closet with a pair of these transparent heeled shoes! They will be the trendy thing to walk around when the weather gets warmer, I assure you.

Which shoes from my choice do you love best?

I seem to have a crush on Spanish designers recently: After introducing Yiddish Chutzpah and her wonderland dresses, I fell in love with another amazing designer from Spain: Palma de Mallorca based artist and designer Ximena Yutronic creates very special shoes and accessories, finding her inspiration in nature. There is no border between art and fashion in her work. Her shoes are like pieces of art and wearable fashion at the same time. Why restrict art to museums and galleries if you can wear sculptures on your feet?

The focus in this post is on the candy inspired pieces from her collection “Sweet Seasons”. Ximena creates stunning shoes and handbags all covered in leaves and flower petals worth a look as well. To me, the candy inspired work is the most surprising: At first sight the pieces – looking like covered in sugar – cause irritation. They seem to be made of real chocolate, strawberry ice cream and a mouthwatering sweet cream topping. Just at second sight, it’s revealed that they are recreations of sweets. Usually desserts have a very short life, they are eaten up quickly or the ice cream melts in the sun. Ximena stops the time and preserves the sweets, turning the dessert into something everlasting. Her work doesn’t just leave a sweet taste in your mouth for a second, but causes a sweet feeling in your heart whenever you look at her shoes and accessories again.

If you are interested to see more of Ximena Yutronic, please visit her Facebook Page or watch this video to see more of the collection. What do you think about this sweet shoes and accessories?

Big happiness: I am going to spend a few days in lovely London very soon. My favourite city will have me again. I can’t wait to visit all the exhibitions I have in mind, meet my dear friends and of course go shopping excessively. For you, a brand new London Wish List post is here, revealing what I might bring home from my trip. I searched all the pages of my most frequented London shops to make a pre-selection of cool items I’m gonna watch out for. On my last trip, the list was a big help and I actually bought a few great things according to it. Your comments and opinions have been a wonderful help as well to make my choice.

All the items catching my eye this time are either sweet as candy or a little bit dark and comical. It was not the intention to create two looks, it just seems my taste is torn between this two moods at the moment.

Don’t be sad if you have to stay at home and can’t raid all the beautiful shops with me! If you fall in love with something from my list: All the items are available for online shopping too. Please just don’t buy everything before I arrive in London. 😉
Which of this treasures make your heart beat faster? I am very grateful for your opinion and will follow your advice. Of course I’ll show you my shopping after the trip.
