I love Friday Favourites posts on other blogs and always wanted to do something like this for you as well. What kept me back was the fear that I could not manage to publish a post like this on a regular basis every Friday. But today I’m finally brave enough to try. I can’t promise a post like this once a week, but maybe every second or third Friday if you like it.

Today I show you what I discovered while browsing the shops, in the future I might include pictures from blogs I love. I am still so lost in a sea of pink and cuteness. I can’t imagine arising and leaving candy floss land. There is just no end to desiring more bows, more tassels and more hearts in my flamingo crazy heart. I just wish I could turn the sky pink for a day.

I hope your Friday is lovely, I’m enjoying a happy bank holiday, yay! 😀
Sending you lots of love.

With this post, I wanna say happy birthday to one of my favourite jewellery labels: It’s already five years since Laura Hunter started her quirky and unique label I Love Crafty. Since then her designs make girls all over the world dream of mermaid necklaces, cat rings and tropical fruit earrings.

Laura’s products are handmade with a lot of love by herself. From design to production, she gives a lot of attention to detail and wants to make her customers happy with her colourful acrylic jewellery. So all ladies out there with a passion for the extraordinary should hurry over and visit this shop. Your order will arrive lovely wrapped in pink and with glitter in the box, just like a pretty gift from fairyland. Compliments will be granted, whenever you wear your shiny treasure.

Interview with Dolls Eyes

Happy birthday to your label Laura! What would you wish for your birthday?
Thank you! I guess I’d have to keep my wish secret or it won’t come true but as its you I’d wish for all my customers to love their ILC jewellery and feel amazing when wearing it!

What was the first piece of jewellery you ever made?
It was some necklaces I made for my sisters one Christmas. They had a gold tree with a white dove that could move up and down the chain as if it was flying, they gave me the idea to sell after that!
You just released a new donut themed collection. What are your next plans now?
Have a rest then on to the next collection! Heres a scoop, the next collection is called “Tropics twilight” and is based around my current Tropics collection with a night time twist! Fingers crossed it will be out this September!

Which of your designs is your personal favourite piece?
Hmmm this question always stumps me! I like experimenting so making new collections is my favourite. I love to create!
What kind of a girl do you imagine to wear your jewellery?
Someone with a confident unique spirit, has a fun sense of humour and expresses her fabulous self with what she wears! Thats my kinda gal 😉

You can shop I Love Crafty here and please don’t forget to visit them on Facebook.

Shopping in Zurich: Boring you think? If you follow the main shopping mile you must have the impression that this city is just home of big major chains and no creative shops. But there is hope: You just have to search a little bit and you will find hidden gems. Such as Marta, a shop that opened recently and is already one of my favourite places in this city. It’s not just a shop, it’s a place that unites fashion, home decor, art and accessories, a place run by three creative women.

Jewellery designer NinaBee, illustrator Andrea Raemy (Things by JOLLA) and fashion designer Claudia Nabholz made their dream come true, when they opened their store together. If you enter the place, you are always greeted in a very warm way and you can really feel the passion and love of this three women for what they do.

Every piece they sell is either made by them or very carefully selected. Huge hand drawn illustrations on the walls and golden tree branches used as cloth hangers are part of the decoration of the shop and make you feel like you are in an enchanted forest. In this lovely atmosphere, it’s a pleasure to shop for jewellery, pretty silk shirts, the newest summer dresses and unusual things for your home. You will leave Marta with a smile on your face, new inspiration in your heart and happily come back.

While thinking about delicate jewellery, perspex is certainly not the material mentioned first. But Kanokkorn Lamlert, a Bangkok (Thailand) based artist and jewellery designer proves the opposite. Unlike most acrylic accessories, her work shows an extraordinary love for details and a graceful daintiness. All her jewellery is extremely refined and hand made.

The pieces of jewellery resemble opulent candelabrums and the diamond shaped pieces make the heart of a girl beat as much as real diamonds. There are versions of the earrings that even glow in the dark for perfect party looks. Because perspex is a very light material, despite their big size, you can wear them for dancing all night.

When Jane Russell sang the song “Diamond’s are a girls best friend” she probably didn’t think of perspex diamonds, but from now on we certainly will…

You can buy Kanokkorn’s jwellery at Guruwan or email her directly at kanokkornlamlert@hotmail.com.

Please follow this amazing designer on Facebook as well to keep an eye on her further work.

silver high heels, glitter shoes, purple tights
Today, I’m gonna dance for you on my silver heels. Get the ufo party started!

I love party looks, even if I am no party girl that is often seen in all the clubs of the city. Calling an outfit a party look is the perfect excuse to style it bold, with a lot of glitter and statement accessories. So why not declaring the day to a party and celebrate with an outfit that means nothing but fun?

Because of the galaxy prints on my shirt and the strange but awesome squid creature earrings, I choose the title “Ufo Party” for this look. The whole outfit is a rather wild mixture of materials, prints and textures. Neon meets silver, Rough cotton is next to sleek nylon.

The shining stars of the outfit are the accessories: The neon pink 50s style sunglasses are a striking statement as well as the pink comic style bag. My ultra long squid earrings always cause such a stir whenever I wear them and I think they might as well come from another galaxy.
Despite my love for horror and science fiction movies, I love to imagine aliens as cute, a little bit crazy creatures. Maybe a little bit as in Mars Attacks from the way they look, but with a more friendly character. I think having a party with a few of this creatures I have in mind might be so much fun.

So my lovelies, what would you wear for an ufo party and how do you like this look?

Bangle crush with this resin beauties. Their vibrancy is amazing.

The pineapples on my dress couldn’t take all of their three eyes form my jewellery today. All this adorable accessories came to me all the way from Australia and I can’t stop loving them. Pink, Purple, yellow and orange all mixed up is just a great combination and I think the accessories add a lot of extra fun to the outfit.

I am obsessed with pineapple prints as you might have noticed already if you follow me on Instagram. This is the first pineapple look for this season, but definitely not the last. A few other fruity discoveries are still waiting to be styled. For now I am very pleased how this quirky 90s inspired dress looks combined with all the resin jewellery.

It’s a very girly look and perfect for casual weekends full of fun indeed.  This outfit would be my choice to wear to a concert from Japanese singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu or to make funny Purikura pictures with my friends. Unfortunately both of this things are not possible in my city, but at least I am prepared and meanwhile I wear it wherever I go.

What do you think about this fruity look and how do you like my new jewellery?
