Who can resist this cute monster eyes? Definitely not me! |
I can tell you what monsters and cats form outer space have in common: They are both rainbow-coloured. |
Accessoires and makeup in bright pink are a must for this look. |
This friendly monster wants to be hugged and stroked all the time. |
The clutch is great to hide your face in case you encounter any paparazzi, evil ex-boyfriends or nasty neighbours. |
The cats are playing hide and seek behind the braces of the high-waisted skirt. |
This comfortable jelly sandals in lilac are the perfect shoes for hot summer days. |
This look is a mad liaison between the 50s and the 90s. A little bit of retro, a lot of craziness. Galaxy cats are floating through a rainbow coloured sky, while the cute furry monster twinkles with its long eyelashes. Nineties neon disco meets pink vintage chic. Yes, today I let styles clash together and mix wildly, what doesn’t seem to fit at first.
You’ve seen this high-waisted pinafore skirt before here, I styled it to a genuine retro look. I wondered if it would look good in a more quirky outfit as well and was surprised how well it goes together with the cosmic cat print. The tee is quite long and it doesn’t look good on my curvy body if I wear it loose, but tucked into the high-waisted skirt the silhouette is accented to flatter.
The true star of the outfit is the clutch: I wrote about British fashion designer Joanna Pybus before here and this is her first piece I own. I love the cute monster and always catch myself stroking it. I was tempted to not show my face at all in this post, because it’s just too much fun to hide my face behind my monster.
I’ll definitely have to go back for more Joanna Pybus items and recommend you to keep an eye on her too. I am curious what she comes up with in the future. I guess it must be cute and colourful, maybe it will be furry too…
Do you like this crazy look?
My Outfit:
Piep, piep, there comes an alien out of the jungle. |
It’s no rumor: Aliens are green. |
And they love to wear accessories obviously. |
Their eyes are very sensitive, so they love to wear sunglasses. |
There are loads of diamonds to be found in the jungle. |
Watch out for alien girls, there might be more of them coming! |
Look, my hair is already back to blonde. I wanted to see how long it takes till that happens and I am happy to know, that I can change from pastel pink to blonde in a week. I’ll definitely go back for pink again, but for this outfit blonde is just perfect.
I will have a little look into the future and this is what I predict: At least one of the comments for this outfit will be, that everything is beautiful expect the crazy lipstick. Lovelies, I am very grateful for all your warm compliments and as well open for criticism, but I won’t stop wearing weird lipstick colours. I am a crazy girl and I try to be bold, go to the borders and explore transformation. When I compare the looks when I started blogging with the latest few outfits, I see definitely a change. More colour and less fear. I feel like I am dancing on top of a wall, doing whatever fashion mischief I have in mind and trying to animate you to join me. Do you want to?
Today I thought it’s nice to be kind of a tropical alien. The outfit is a mix of vintage inspired items and recent fashion. The lot of green makes me think of something mysterious from outer space. In my imagination, it’s the colour of funny aliens, as seen in old science fiction movies. They don’t come to invade earth, instead they bring green jelly pudding for all of us. Yummy!
What do you think about this rather crazy look?

When Lovely Sara meets Miss Lovett… |
…love is in the air. |
If there is a beautiful Pearls & Swine fascinator involved, the romance is perfect. |
Fashion heaven is on earth today. |
The cutest Peter Pan collar ever. |
Who said that black flowers are not lovely? That is a lie! |
The cats love to play games on my tights. |
Skirt and top are perfectly matched. Same buttons, same fabric. |
Kitty loves it to I bet. |
Everybody who knows Sweeney Todd, remembers Miss Lovett and her worst pies of London. No worries, I don’t show you bad pies here, but lovely clothing from another Miss Lovett. This is definitely not the worst fashion of Mannheim (Germany). What Miss Lovett designs is a mixture of rock n’roll and cuteness. Everything is handmade with love. The top and skirt I am wearing are from the “A Kiss from Miss Ivi” collection, Miss Lovett’s latest masterstroke. When I opened the parcel, I was excited. The pieces look cue and feminine and are very comfortable to wear. The fit is perfect, even for curvy girls like me.
I love the cute Peter Pan collar of the top and the puffy sleeves. The skirt matches the top perfectly with the red stripe and the same buttons. The colour combination of black and red is one of my favourites and made me fall head over heel for this outfit. I recommend you, to pair outfits like this with a beautiful fascinator, high heels and red lipstick. Probably you can also go for false lashes like I did, to make the look even more dramatic. If you go out for dinner or have a date, it’s just perfect.
I am absolutely convinced by this outfit and already lusting after more pieces from Miss Lovett. You can pay a visit to the shop as well and treat yourself with something. You will find no bad pie in this shop for sure.

Shoes: Daisy Street, Fascinator: Pearls & Swine
Thanks a lot Miss Lovett for providing skirt and top for this outfit and as well lovely thanks to Pearls & Swine for the fascinator.
Forget bananas, apples and oranges, go for melon! |
Mmmmmmhhhh… There is nothing sweeter. |
Matching your outfit to your ice cream might be eccentric. |
But there is no such a thing like too much melon. |
This ice cream will be gone very quickly for sure. |
At least the leaf fascinator is made to last. |
And the bubblegum scent of the Melissa shoes will still be here, when the melon is gone. |
Let’s go and get more ice cream! |
Once upon a time, there was a melon girl. She loved to eat melon for breakfast, lunch, dinner and between the meals as well. But what she loved even more, was to dress like one. The rule of her life was, that if you feel to dress like a melon, you should just do it. The same rule applies for bananas, apples, and other funny things as well of course.
Dressed colourful she feels strong and like being reborn. It’s like a metamorphosis, when she gets dressed. The mousy caterpillar turns into a butterfly. She might be a little bit eccentric sometimes, but she embraces it instead of denying. When it comes to crazy fashion looks, she rather asks “Why not?”, instead of “Why?”. She loves to have a concept for her looks, best from head to toe. So why not even matching the ice cream to the look? She doesn’t care if you shake your head and enjoys her sweet dessert. Some people might call her look a disguise and fit for carnival, but she objects. There is no such a thing as a costume in her world, every dress is a new way to express some part of her personality and she has so many parts to discover yet. She was not born a bold girl, but she refuses to be something she is not. This is melon girl, this is colourful happiness and yes: This is me, Lovely Sara.
I hope you love this post and feel encouraged to dress up now too. Wish I could see all my pretty readers, I imagine we would make the most amazing rainbow together.
My Outfit:
Hello stunning flower tree, you are a true beauty! |
May I take a picture with you? Oh see: Kitty wants to be with us too. |
Your flower petals are so delicate and tender. |
Both of us dressed in pink, aren’t we a cute couple? |
I love to be in this world full of pretty flowers. |
Dressed as a 50s woman with my pinafore skirt. |
Kitty wraps herself around my finger. |
We can enjoy the afternoon in this pink garden. |
Wow look at all the pink trees outside, isn’t it breathtaking? Pink has always been one of my favourite colours. There was a time, back at School of Arts, long, long time ago, when I dressed in no other colour. I am not that singleminded anymore, but pink occupies still a big space in my heart. My heart started to beat faster when I saw the flower trees outside and I just had to be the pink girl under the pink tree. My outfit is a lot of vintage inspired, I feel like a modest 50s housewife from an advertisement. This image of a woman fascinates me, always pretty, with a bright smile and perfect nails and makeup.
My skirt is indeed made from an original vintage pattern. After discovering this skirt, I couldn’t get it out of my head again. The shape is just perfect and I love the silhouette it makes. I bought it at The Black Pinafore, it’s the Etsy Store from Debora, a lovely dress maker from Italy. She is a diploma costume designer and loves the 40s and 50s. I could just send her my measurements and she made this wonderful skirt for me. I was able to choose the fabric, buttons and length of the skirt. When it arrived I was very pleased, because it fits perfectly and looks even more beautiful than I expected. I just had to wear it, go outside with it as fast as possible and show it to you surrounded by this dreamy location. I am always surprised again and again, how close from the city beautiful places like this exist. It looks like I am in an enchanted garden at the countryside, but it’s just a few steps away from the big apartment blocks of the city. Even a cat wanted to be part of my pictures and she was very stubborn in staying exactly under the same tree I wanted to take my pictures. But I think she just made the pictures perfect.
I hope you enjoy spring as much as I do my lovelies. What do you think about this outfit?

Sweet Miss Ivi and her even sweeter Miss Lovett polka dot top with peter pan collar. |
Dressed in sexy red and wild leopard print. |
Top and dress in a turquoise fabric, perfect for summer holidays. |
Two other cool top and skirt combos, either with a cute bow or sweet buttons. |
Finally it’s time to introduce a lovely label again: Let me tell you about Miss Lovett, an amazing German label, specialized in rocking and sweet fashion. The label was founded 2011 in Mannheim and is successfully growing since then. The two designers Deborah Brehm and Nina Kiil are the creative minds behind Miss Lovett. Supported by a little team of tailors, they create and sew their very feminine and cheeky clothes. Everything they sell is handmade in Germany and will definitely make the heart of modern Rockabilly and Pin-Up girls beat faster. Fashion from Miss Lovett is produced in small series and if you order something, it will be handmade with love especially for you. Therefore, every piece of Miss Lovett, is something special and unique.
Miss Lovett’s newest masterstroke is an exciting collection, called “A Kiss From Miss Ivi”. It was made in collaboration with the German tattoo and pinup model Miss Ivi. My germanophone readers might know her from the TV show “Goodbye Deutschland – Die Auswanderer” on VOX, where she shows her life in Switzerland after emigrating from her home country Germany. The blond Miss Ivi with her endless legs, her colourful tattoos and her winning smile is a wonderful choice as face and inspiration. The clothes of her collection are as sweet as herself and just perfect for summer. There is a lot of turquoise, which awakes dreams of relaxing in a swimming pool and eating ice cream on holiday. Wild leopard prints and sexy red are important parts of the collection as well. I wish I had the whole collection, because I can’t decide for a favourite. I bet wearing this fashion makes any girl feel a little bit like beautiful Miss Ivi.

An outfit so sweet I feel like being a candyfloss girl. |
All my world is full of hearts and sugar. |
Also grown-up girls can still feel like little Lolitas. |
The cat looks a little bit grumpy, does it need more cake? |
Isn’t it a look fit for a fairy tale princess? |
With a lot of pretty details and pearls. |
And whithe tender flowers on my head. |
My beloved jells shoes are perfect for this look. |
I also show you my second Ahcahcum cat bag. It came together with the big one you’ve already seen. At first I was a little bit irritated by the expression of the face of this cat, but now I think she is cute in her own grumpy way. I think Japanese people like cute fashion and in that way the outfit I show you here might be the perfect one to wear a bag from this Japanese label. I wish to have the chance to travel to Japan once in my life. I think I would feel like in fashion paradise there and have the urge to start a street style blog right now. I follow a few of Japanese blogs, usually I don’t understand a word, but love the style. All the love, the fantasy and individuality these girls put into their look is so unlike what I see on the streets here. Last week, a man in the train told me, that he clearly sees a lot of Japanese inspiration in my style. I was surprised because I thought this source of inspiration is not so obvious. With this little compliment he made my day and put a big smile on my face.
What do you think about this outfit my lovelies?

I wanna be a rubberband girl. |
I wanna learn to twang like a rubbberband. |
Rubber gloves might increase the effect as well. |
Does dressing in rubber help? I try with my bow chocker. |
And I might be able to bounce back like a rubberband. |
Otherwise I come running to you. |
Everything I wear today (except the earrings) is bought from or in the UK. I just miss London so much at the moment and would love to go there right now if i could. I named this post after a song from Kate Bush, my favourite singer and one of the biggest British icons. This eccentric lady is just unlike any other pop star and that makes her perfect in my eyes. I couldn’t get her song “Rubberband Girl” out of my head, while having on my latex accessories. I am so delighted and need to tell you more about what I am wearing:
For ages I was dreaming of owning a little piece of Atsuko Kudo. I love the work of the UK based fashion designer from Japan. She calls her work “Couture Latex Design” and creates the most amazing rubber clothes and accessories. People who still believe, latex is something to be found only in erotic shops, are proven wrong. Among the clients of Atsuko Kudo are stars like Lady Gaga, Dita von Teese or Katy Perry. Finally it is my turn to present a little Atsuko Kudo treasure. I can’t call myself the proud owner of a custom made dress, but look at my gloves and this adorable bow choker! I love how shiny and smooth the material is. I must say the gloves are no piece for everyday wear, because it is not so easy to get in and out of them and impossible without the help of a lube. The bow chocker on the other hand is definitely a piece which will be seen on many of my future looks. I am already lusting after going back to Atsuko Kudo’s store and treat myself with more goodies. They have the most beautiful collars you have ever seen and their headwear is causing envy.
I went for a beautiful dress from Collectif to combine my accessories with. I saw this dress in their shop and knew without trying that I need it. The colour is wonderful and I love the elegant look of it. If you have a few dresses like this in your wardrobe, it is very easy to dress. A dress like this doesn’t need a lot to go with it, it looks just so elegant on its own. I continue to listen to more Kate Bush now and hope you like this outfit.
Did you ever wear latex and do you love Atsuko Kudo too?
Cats don’t mind the snow as much as humans do. |
So I tried to do it like them and protect myself with (fake) fur. |
Protected against the cold like this, it is my pleasure to play with my cat outside. |
The cat doesn’t understand why I have to wear earrings, but aren’t they gorgeous? |
I can never say no, if a cat looks at me like that. |
As a symbol for my cat love, I wear hearts on my tights. |
With this warm boots, the play outside can go on for hours. |
Despite my longing for spring, it’s still winter and I want to show you another winter look. I couldn’t resist to show you my new cat bag from the Japanese label Ahcahcum with this outfit, I think it is one of my best latest purchases. My love for cats is without boundaries and I can never resist cat themed fashion or accessories. I grew up with a lot of cats. I loved to stroke their soft fur for hours and when I was sad, they comforted me. I wish I could have a cat again in the future. Meanwhile I am happy with visiting my mother and her cats and equipping myself with cat accessories.
Because the cat bag brings a lot of cuteness into the outfit and is a big eye catcher, I decided to go for a rather plain outfit in black and red. The look is a little bit fifties inspired with the petticoat and the hat, but the boots and tights bring in a modern touch. I am a big fan of the fake fur collar, it keeps me wonderful warm and I think it is far more ladylike than a scarf. It was a gift from lovely Tessa from Fashionresister, one of my dear blogger friends. We share a lot, like our love for Lazy Oaf, everything from Egypt and Kate Rohde. When we decided to send each other gifts, I was not surprised she sent me things I loved. She must have some superpowers, because the collar fits perfectly to the hat I bought just before I got her parcel and she couldn’t have known about. Hat and collar make a very elegant couple. Another love Tessa and me share, is for beautiful tights. So I was inspired to not go for opaque ones, like I do wear very often during the cold days, but choose more cheeky ones. It was less freezing than I thought it might be. What you can’t see: I am hiding warm socks in my boots.
I tried new makeup as well: For the first time, I use different colours for my upper and lower lip. I have seen this kind of makeup on other pages and liked it. The bright red from my lower lips fits to my earrings, the burgundy red resembles hat and collar. I used long-lasting lipsticks, I think with normal lipsticks the two colours might mix. I was wearing it for the whole day and it stayed very well, even after eating a lot of popcorn at the cinema. I think the people wouldn’t have noticed anyway: They were busy looking at my cat bag, with big eyes.
What do you think about this look? Are you a cat lover too?
Thanks a lot to Tessa from Fashionresister for this beautiful fake fur collar.
